Nocturnal Animals for like any category

    Jake Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler too,

    Toni Collette for Hereditary,

And I wish I could trade Jennifer Lawrence’s undeserved Joy nomination for an absolutely deserved mother! nomination.

    – Gone Girl only getting 1 nomination (should’ve gotten Picture, Director, Screenplay, Cinematography, Editing, Score)
    – The Farewell being completely shut out
    – Zootopia in Original Screenplay
    – Jake Gyllenhaal for Nightcrawler
    – James Franco for The Disaster Artist

She didn’t get much award traction so I don’t know if she was Oscar snubbed – I loved Mary Kay Place in ‘Diane’. My favorite performance that year.

    Life is a thin thread.
    We hang on tightly knowing
    it will snap one day.

    Bruhl for Rush
    Tremblay for Room
    Franco for Disaster Artist

I just love movies. And awards.

    Why thank you darling.

I forgot to add Idris Elba for Beasts of No Nation, a truly bizarre snub considering his precursors run and in retrospect of that being the #OscarsSoWhite year … 💀

For me the biggest egregious maddening lack of a nomination – it wasn’t even shortlisted – was 120 Beats per Minute for International Film. It should have been nominated for lots of other awards too – Director, Actor, Supporting Actor, Screenplay – probably my favorite movie of the last ten years.

Jacob Tremblay for Room (he was submitted in the wrong category – he was the lead of the movie) and Emma Thompson for Saving Mr. Banks were terrible snubs.

Emma Thompson in Saving Mr.Banks was as good as Cate Blanchett in Blue Jasmine yet she was snubbed despite getting all precursors.

    Horrid.

The way Jake should have won for Nightcrawler, not just have been nominated.
