I’m currently watching all the winners and I’m really curious who are the bottom of the barrel?
So far, Ingrid Bergman (1974) is my least favorite winner.

Estelle Parsons was also insufferable. Spent the whole movie screaming hysterically for nothing

Best Cinematography - NomadlandFebruary 9, 2021 at 11:55 pm #1204034687I haven’t watched many supporting actress winner, but the worst I think so far was Laura Dern for Marriage Story. Thank God… Zhao Shuzhen or Cho Yeo Jeong wasn’t nominated, because if they do, my hatred for that win would’ve be so much worse. Also also the lineup was terrible.
*If Jennifer Lawrence had won for that Razzie-worthy performance in American Hustle, she would be my easy pick. Just remember how close she was to victory in 2014.

Laura Dern
Patricia Arquette……
These are the worst in that order. Arquette was a waste of enough screen time…nothing to show for it

My own least favourite winner? Probably Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost, not because I especially dislike the performance, but because three of her competitors were infinitely superior.
But there are plenty of unpopular winners I’ll defend. All eight glorious minutes of Judi Dench in Shakespeare in Love for instance. (I also don’t think it was just a makeup win for Mrs Brown; that idea is pure revisionism.)

I do have to single out Laura Dern. I feel like many, including me, have said several times what is wrong with that win so I won’t do it here.
I certainly don’t consider Janney among the worst but I do feel she robbed Metcalf.
Some other wins I’m not wild about:
Regina King
Patricia Arquette
Jennifer Hudson
Geena Davis
Helen Hayes, AIRPORT
Margaret RutherfordReplyCopy URL“The art of making art is putting it together...”
