Ahead of Collette? No fkn way!

Collette was, at best, 9th in the race behind the 5 nominees, Viola Davis, Emily Blunt and Nicole Kidman. Even Rosamund Pike was probably ahead of her.

Yet she lost against Close. This makes zero sense.

Heck no. Both are previous winners. Stone winning so soon after a horrid win would gave definitely not happened. I know some will mention Streep, but we cant compare any actress of the last 50 years to Streep. She is on a whole other level.

I compare her to Mahershala Ali, considering his win for Moonlight the same year as Emma isn’t something universally praised

But, Stone would have going against Close, who would have not lost to a 2 time winner with her 7th nod. Plus, the supporting categories are not the same as the lead categories despite the “Oscar is an Oscar” way of thinking.

They would’ve been struggling for a nod, especially Classy Weisz. Emma Stone could have been nominated easily but the win just would’ve been impossible, mostly because of her La La Land win.

I was your Prime Minister once.
