With 11 nominations under his belt (his last being Dunkirk in 2017, and his one and only win being Lion King way back in ‘95), Hanz Zimmer could be considered by some as overdue to take home the gold. Our man has two high-profile scores in contention this year: his evocative, otherworldly soundtrack for Dune, and his nostalgic, sumptuous score for No Time to Die. Do you predict he’ll be nominated for one, both, or neither? Vote above and sound off below about the reason for your pick, and if you think Zimmer has the potential add a second Oscar to his mantle this year. Cheers!

I’d have to watch and listen to the other contenders first. “Dune” has a really good score, if only it wasn’t played that loud (or maybe I’m old). I can’t wait to watch “Spencer”, “The Power of the Dog” and “The French Dispatch” to have a better idea.

Hopefully just a nom. I love the guy but his stans are so obnoxius and I don’t think he’s that great. Plus, I want Jonny Greenwood to win his due.

This and Leto will make you have a meltdown in the coming months.

I’m actually predicting that Jonny Greenwood will win for Spencer. I’ve seen many reviews praising his soundtrack for the film.

I would really love to see a reasoning from someone who voted No Time to Die and not both. I can only assume that they clicked before they read every option? Because I really don’t see Zimmer happening for NTTD over himself for the more lauded score in the bigger contender. Am I missing something?
