Harry isn’t submitting to rock, they wouldn’t dare to do it. (And if they did, they would move to pop where he is undeniable to be nominated this time.)

I listen to Hollywood’s Bleeding yesterday since a long time, and I enjoyed 8 tracks out of 17: Hollywood’s Bleeding, Die For Me, On the Road, Take What You Want, Sunflower, Goodbyes, I Know, Wow. The rest are terrible pop, it’s kind of insulting, very lowest common denominator: Enemies, Circles, I’m Going to Be, Internet, Myself, Saint-Tropez, Allergic, Staring at the Sun, Myself. There are too many hits then misses. Post Malone needs to do better. I really enjoyed the psychedelic fused trap on Goodbyes and hope he goes down the direction on his next album. 52/100 for me on that album.

I agree that the tracks you listed are the best ones on the record. I especially enjoy Die For Me and Take What You Want. Sunflower is also a really good track.

Harry has no chance at sweeping (unless he’s nominated for BPVA and Pop solo only but I think he will get more than that). He likely has no chance at anything outside of the pop categories.

I agree, I personally think he’s going to pop, Its a possibility that they put it in rock but I’m more leaning to pop.

DSN is 100% a lock in ROTY; the others I agree with.

Those are my favorites too. Also A Thousand Bad Times, Alergic, and the title track are bangers. Goodbyes would be excellent if the terrible Young Thug 3rd verse rap didn’t ruin it.

The Chicks reviews are starting to roll in and it’s looking like a winner. I could see this being our AOTY while Blinding Lights will be ROTY and SOTY. I had a hard time seeing The Weeknd winning AOTY and sweeping, this seems like a more realistic outcome.

The Dixie Chicks aren’t winning nothing in the GF, it’s no 2003 or 2007 anymore when the winners were non-popular choices. They’ll have a country win, maybe filler GF spots and that’s it.

People are having a hard time predicting The Weeknd to sweep, and I know why, but – if he isn’t, then who is above him? SOTY and ROTY are almost a lock, and AOTY, I believe, is also going to him given the circumstances. At most, it’ll be a Need You Now/Back to Black situation, but they love a sweep and they won’t deny it.

It reminds me of months ago when some people thought (and actually predicted when the voting period came despite the huge campaign) that Billie Eilish wouldn’t sweep, despite having a commercially successful debut album and the biggest song of the year, woroldwide. I can say I predicted the moment the nominations came out, and didn’t even follow Goldderby odds, or top 24 users and stuff.

    Let’s be more realistic, people.

I wouldn’t be surprised if something like this happened again:

    1999

    • The Chicks won Best Country Album (and lost BNA)
    • Shania was nominated for AOTY as filler instead

    2021

    • The Chicks will win Best Country Album
    • The Highwomen will be nominated for AOTY as filler instead
    • bonus: Maren Morris (solo) nominated for SOTY (and maybe ROTY too) as filler

both albums are critically acclaimed and have Grammy darlings as collaborators. however, Gaslighter will be snubbed because it’s a very strong contender.

interestingly, this also happened in 2014 to Taylor & Kacey

    • Kacey Musgraves won Best Country Album (and lost BNA)
    • Taylor Swift was nominated for AOTY as filler instead

I agree and can see this happening. Brandi Carlile was a commitee choice in the last two years and she’s one of The Highwomen, so it won’t be surprising. I actually see them on AOTY over Dixie Chicks.

And, I must say, based on the nominations arrangement, we can find the AOTY winner – that’s how I predict and always get right since 2014 when I started to watch the Grammys. Yes, I had a hard time to believe some of these (like Beck, 1989 and Bruno) would win, but they were predictable. Maybe I’ll get wrong this time, yes, but…. that’s it.
