I think it’s Taylor vs Ariana.

Tbh I agree that Delicate sounds a bit weak too win, but it’s still Taylor Swift after all.

God Is A Woman is (in my opinion) the best out the possible nominees. The only thing that holds it back is the fact that it hasn’t peaked yet, so some voters might not know the song.

Camila Cabello is just not getting in or winning. All of Me (Live) still lost to Happy (Live) and Call Me Maybe lost to Set Fire to the Rain; the biggest hit doesn’t always win.

Post Malone is not winning. From what’s been revealed so far, the Grammy’s seem to not care about him; plus, urban artists don’t win here.

Mine/In My Blood/ I Don’t Think About You are all good picks for nominations but that’s it.

I’m still curious to see Taylor’s submissions.

“Happy” was definitely a bigger hit than “All of Me,” but I would say “All of Me” was more of the type of winner that usually wins. Pharrell had a lot of momentum after helping Daft Punk sweep the year before, just like Adele was able to follow up with a win after her Grammy sweep. Camilla has no Grammy history, and “Havana” is not the type of song that would win with no supporting nominations.

“Delicate” is lightweight, but it’s also AC fodder that they would just check off because it’s Taylor.

The Grammys really need to go back to the basics by nominating and awarding songs that weren’t big hits. I’m talking about stuff like “Constant Craving,” “No More I Love You’s,” “Chasing Pavements,” etc. “Havana” would not be in any discussion any other year, tbh.

The struggle getting 5 decent nominations really shows how much rap and urban have taken over these last years damn.

This, so much. Until 2009, we had nonhits nominated all the time, most of them deserving of the noms and even wins. These days, a song has to be a top 10 hit to get the nomination(unless Kelly Clarkson sings it), which is completely absurd.

Lesser hits used to get nominated because split male/female and group/collaboration categories made the Grammys far less competitive than they are now. I don’t think we want to go back to that unless you want to see people like Justin Bieber as 5x winners.

It was not because of that, IMO.

In 2000, the songs nominated had those peaks at the HOT 100:

    #19 Madonna – Beautiful Stranger

#17 Alanis Morissette – Thank You

#14 Sarah Mclachlan – I will remember you (WINNER)

#1 Christina Aguilera – Genie in a Bottle

#1 Britney Spears – Baby One More Time

    I don’t believe they hadn’t bigger female solo hits than a #14, a #19 and a #17 to nominate instead in a whole year.

Very ambitious predictions. But the last three years the Pop vocal album category has gone to the most successful album which is why I thin reputation is gonna win. It was also acclaimed by the more unbiased critics. Just like how 1989 received average reviews yet won that award. I think Kelly isn’t gonna get any noms either.

    This is so untrue.

1992 and 1995 Female Pop Vocal nominees, for example, were far more competitive than anything Pop Solo race.

I don’t think there should be a split since Pop music is weak as hell, but the category has been very predictable.

Yeah but God is a woman wont win it just wont. Its between Delicate and Havana. But i still think Delicate will win. I predict the nominees.

    1. Delicate

    2. Havana- live

    3. God Is A Woman

    4. Better Now (probably will be nominated)

    5. Mine/Way Too Good at Goodbyes(Live)/some other song

Delicate is going to win Best Pop Solo. It could have been better if Ariana submits No Tears Left To Cry for this award. Ariana Grande was reportedly submitting NTLTC for SOTY only.

Get real! Ariana Grande does NOT have a chance in hell of winning Best Pop Solo Performance with that lousy submission. The delusion is real!
