There’s no “curse”. For every Marc Cohn and Shelby Lynne, you have your Adele and Carrie Underwood. This “curse” is definitely overstated.

I’m starting to think that Sicko Mode could win Rap Performance over Nice for What.

God’s Plan will win Rap Song though

It’s possible since “Sicko Mode” is definitely popping right now, and it’s a way to hit two birds with one stone. It won’t win Rap Song, but Rap Performance is very possible. “Nice for What” could still win it. Check with me in a month. lol

I also think Lalah Hathaway will win her fourth Traditional R&B Grammy. That category typically goes to veterans, and this could be Charlie Wilson’s first Grammy. PJ Morton’s, MAJOR.’s, and Leon Bridges’ votes will be split. Bettye LaVette is probably too much of an understated vet to win. Lalah and Charlie are like name checks.

    Best Rap/Sung Performance

“This Is America” – Childish Gambino
“All the Stars” – Kendrick Lamar & SZA

Best Song Written for Visual Media

“All the Stars” (from Black Panther)
    “Remember Me”  (from Coco)
“Shallow” (from A Star Is Born)

ATS is winning both. Got this feeling. Kendrick’s Oscar campaign.

Yes, honey!  Kendrick Lamar is going to snatch Lady Gaga’s wig.

    CHRISTINA AGUILERA

    2019 Grammy Award nominee:

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance - "Fall In Line"
    Best Rap/Sung Performance - "Like I Do"

I wish you were right, but the Grammys have proved too many times that they hate hip hop.

“This Is Me” is also a leading contender, definitely more than “Remember Me.”

Sidenote: This is one of the strongest lineups in years. In a less competitive year, “Mystery of Love” would have a shot too.

Also, speaking of the visual media field, when Hugh Jackman inevitably wins Visual Media Compilation for his contributions to The Greatest Showman, he will just be an Oscar away from EGOT.

Gaga is not going to lose to Kendrick in Visual Media when this is one of her strongest showings and one of his weakest

The Oscars and Grammy’s tend to disagree sometimes, so Kendrick could win here. I’m hoping Sufjan prevails but that’s unlikely.

Not a rap song..I mean it could be better but it´s not the case with All The Stars which is the weakest song on the category.

Honey, all the rap songs nominated are way better than “Shallow.” I am sick and tired of white crap winning major awards.
