It’s confirmed: Cardi is in Rap Album.

The entire album issa bop! I mean “Bickenhead”, “Best Life”, “I Like It”, “Money Bag”, “She Bad”, ….

She gave me everything I wanted! Ratchet stripper anthems, barz, production, and dope features.

Get real! “Delicate” is NOT getting SOTY and/or Best Pop Solo Performance nominations. That song is a bonafide flop. Swift only gets nominated for hits.

That Cardi album is crazy fun. I was sceptical of where she’d go, but this album is clear she knows what the people want.

Check out Kali Uchis debut album as well. She’s giving me SZA vibes from last year.

Cardi’s album is not terrible but it’s not exactly good, especially when all of the features outshine her and her flow is amateur except for Get Up 10.

It could be nominated because Delicate is now in the top 15 in HOT AC and top 25 in Pop Songs.

Xtina did a collaboration with Demi Lovato. The song is called ‘Fall in Line’ and a demo version with Xtina vocals leaked, it seems to be very good, I guess it will work with Demi voice. Let’s wait for the final result, there couldn’t be a better time to release than now.

Yes Cardi B’s album has almost no bad songs on it! She makes Nicki look like trash now haha.

It’s very odd that we’re more than halfway through the eligibility period with not one album that’s a lock to be nominated for AOTY. Black Panther and Reputation are the most likely to get in, but neither are certain (BP due to a soundtrack not being nominated in 16 years; Swift due to winning with her previous album, and her lack of a major hit this time around).

St. Vincent and Kacey Musgraves are possibilities for prestige noms, especially since they’ve won Grammys for previous albums. I think St. Vincent is more likely than Musgraves.

Cardi B is a possibility if she can maintain momentum for the rest of the year. An AOTY nomination could make up for her BNA snub this year.

Camila Cabello could get in off the strength of Havana, which isn’t eligible for Record or Song (think Pharrell being nominated due to Happy’s ineligibility), but the committee tends to be averse to nominating teen pop in major categories. She may be relegated to the pop field.

Sam Smith is most likely out. He released too early and doesn’t have a second hit.

Eminem and Justin Timberlake are out due to the poor critical and commercial reception to their albums. U2 are a distant possibility as 2-time AOTY winners who were prominently featured on this year’s show.

Cardi B’s album is great. Very surprised. Here’s some of my fave moments:

Also Kylie Minogue’s album is a big surprise. REALLY great pop-dance-country hybrid. WAY better than Gaga’s Joanne.

I think Pink is a strong possibility to get an AOTY nom. Kelly Clarkson should be a LOCK for a nomination, but the promotion of that album has been so botched.
