There is no white artist in top 20. If the scenario would be opoosite, everybody will call it rasicm. One could argue hip-hop community is racist to white people.

No it’s just that black people make the best music.

Actually Gasper it’s quite the opposite. A top 20 full of white artists and no one says a thing. But once it’s full of black artists, then suddenly it’s reverse racism.

It’s ignorant to say “this” race makes the best music,  whatever race that maybe, white or black. There are good artists from all different races.

Let’s not act like it’s OK when some female rapper calls other people ‘white bitches’. Imagine if it was the other way around.

white is not considered negative historically like black is… Your white fave loves to look black so u shouldn’t be ignorant.

As a white person, you’re wrong! The matter of the fact is that there aren’t really any white rappers to begin with. Eminem hasn’t had anything impactful since 2014 which is why he isn’t on there and he is basically the only white person in the rap game. It’s not racist just because a white person isn’t talented enough to be apart of this music genre! That’s like saying the country industry is racist because Darius Rucker is one of the only African American country artists. It has nothing to do with race it’s just the fact that certain people don’t make certain genres of music!

LOL, Billboard fucked up when they put IOP, Golden Hour and TYN over GKMC. TPAB also deserves higher than #5.

I don’t think I’ve seen Chance’s Coloring Book in any decade’s list so far. They opted for Acid Rap, but I felt CB was more acclaimed and recognized.

Perhaps the Billboard list is a bit of an aberration. If we look at the aggregate list from albumoftheyear.org the artist’s most recent work is often the one getting more picks if it’s the most acclaimed.

Lemonade (her most recent solo studio album)
    Melodrama
    Norman Fucking Rockwell

    https://www.albumoftheyear.org/list/summary/2010s/

In some cases the earlier album is getting put in the lists. I’m not sure if I agree with every pick, but there are good reasons for To Pimp a Butterfly to be above DAMN or Modern Vampires of the City to be above Father of The Bride, 21 above 25 etc.

There are probably a lot of decade lists to come, so the order could change over the next few weeks.

Interesting choices, NME is always a rock biased publication but not so much cliche choices like TPAB, MBDTF, Lemonade or Blonde. They put Channel Orange, GKMC and Yeezus which i hate Yeezus but love and respect the other choices.
