Due to everything else that Dan and Shay were going to score tonight, to me, the Country Duo/Group of the Year award should’ve gone to Old Dominion. They haven’t been given anything from this show yet anyway.

Thoughts and Impressions:

The show was alright. It was only The Weeknd, Dua Lipa, Doja Cat & Megan Thee Stallion that delivered great performances. Other than that there weren’t much big names that performed. Taraji was great and entertaining as a host. The winners were alight. I can’t really get mad at any of the winners because this is a fan voted award show that awards the “Favorite” not the “Best”, therefore I don’t take the merit seriously. I did get kind of bothered that neither Rain On Me or WAP didn’t win Favorite Collaboration of The Year, but again, its a quantity award, not a quality one. Though Doja, Megan, Abel, Gaga, Karol, Nicki, Bad Bunny and Dua all deserved their awards. And I did not get they hype around the “surprise” performances. Overall it was eh.
