The point is there are albums that went on to become very big albums without major radio support. WWAFWDWG had only one radio hit, which is Bad Guy. And that one was literally shoved down the radio’s throat after dominating Spotify for months. Initially they thought a whispery song like that doesn’t have a place in their playlists. A Star Is Born is also another example. Shallow was recorded live, snubbed by radios and only had moderate support after the Oscars. The point is just because something doesn’t sound radio friendly, doesn’t mean it has to be “anti commercial” and can’t do well commercially. Billie already debunked that myth. We all agree that Folklore is not radio-friendly, but that doesn’t mean it’s doomed to do bad commercially.

It’s not doomed to do bad commercially, and it didn’t lol.

Cardigan is currently being outstreamed by: Something Just Like This (February 2017) Thinking Out Loud (September 2014) among various other songs that have quite minimal playlisting. If you really wanna chalk up the albums underwhelming Spotify performance to just playlisting then lol.

Your precious sweetener, dw, all being outstreamed by 1989 daily ( an album with 6.3 million pure copies + 2.2 million streams daily). Even red is doing equal streaming no.s on spotify as sweetener and overall globally RED is outstreaming all her albums except tun by a large margin.

And i bet you folklore will be doing equal numbers as position after a year on billboard 200.

It’s #13 without the signed CDs and Pop Smoke is now doing almost 3x her SEA

No dumbo. You are counting only SEA then. Where are the physical sales and digital sales from itunes and all that? Taylor is not pop smoke or ariana who sells an embarrassing 100 copies in a week. She will easily be in top 10 even if we remove signed cds.

And cds will never be removed from counting on billboard charts. There is a reason why we call cds as pure copies because people spend $25 on each copy. Taylor made $3.5 million by just selling cds and artists can’t even make $100k by streaming billions of times.

Imagine being this dumb. Billie did extremely well because she was very different and very new with a smash hit bad guy. If she keep making same sound again and again, she’ll flop very  hard 2nd/3rd album. We all know how my future is doing.

About gaga, she made a classic, oscar winning and most awarded song ever. It will certainly do good. Where was she before it in streaming and where is she now? Flopping. Chromatica is free-falling (#77) this week. If ariana and BP wouldn’t have been in the album, she would’ve already left billboard 200 chart.

First of all folklore is very different than all of other taylor projects. Some people reacted it very differently and some need time to adjust to this type of sound. And Folklore is doing extremely good. Artist of century for a reason.

Weeknd 6. Post Malone 7. Lil Baby 8. Lil Uzi Vert 9. Pop Smoke 10. DaB

Only one female artist in the top 10…
And without Taylor releasing folklore, there wouldn’t even be one…

    This year is so male-dominated.

Yes. Ariana’s entire albums spent 6 weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 and Gaga’s entire career spent 8 weeks at # 1.

She’d literally be 10-13 without signed CDs. Can you guys just admit that this fraudulent and her team is just doing it to keep it at #1?
