The biggest snub to me was Lana but she was snubbed since Nomination day.

Ariana, H.E.R. and Yola went home without a single genre win. Ariana had fierce competition and Yola was the most relevant in American Roots categories, except for Sara Bareilles. but wbk that the Scammys are racist /s

H.E.R. and Ariana got their due just last year, so I don’t see any big losses for them. And H.E.R.’s losses will maybe push her to release an “actual” album because she seems dedicated. She’ll be back in the conversation again. I’m sure of it.

Ariana was just in an unfortunate situation. Yes, she had a huge year, but the Grammys love to shower new artists who break through. It’s like a “Welcome to the Club” nod. This was almost like Mariah and Alanis, except people knew Ariana would lose to either Billie or Lizzo. She’ll be back in contention with her next release.

I don’t know much about Yola, but it seems that she would do well in the R&B field later on (even though she’s rooted in Americana). Her performance at the pre-show was excellent.

None tbh. Billie sweeping the big 4 was overkill but I don’t think anyone was truly snubbed this time around

    FYC :

I don’t feel like there were any glaring shutouts this year. Ariana Grande and H.E.R. lost to (mostly) stronger material. Lil Nas X won 2 more Grammys than he deserved. Lizzo walked away with 3 wins.

I’d say Lana Del Rey deserved to win both of her nominations, but she wasn’t expected to win either.

    Preach it.

Tho homegirl knows she can crack GF now, the moment she releases the new album she better start promoting her ass off and get her due.

No one was snubbed imo, but well Ariana is the biggest name of the night to have 0 wins.
