Quick question from someone that hasn’t followed the Grammy’s recently. How was Truth Hurts eligible for RotY and SotY despite being two years old?

Because her song gained popularity during the eligibility period which automatically qualified her and just added it on her deluxe edition + the song was never submitted at the time on its original release.

It was included in her 2019 album in a deluxe edition and wasn’t submitted to Grammys in its eligible year

I rolled my eyes at the prediction of Billie Sweeping, but some of you actually wanting that to happen? I just…..

I don’t even know what to say.

can the Whitney/kygo get nominated then? It’s old too. How old can it be?

Yup,I don’t think anyone is sweeping this year. The GF field could go anyway in AOTY, SOTY, And ROTY. Especially SOTY. That one is kinda difficult to pick a winner .

Urban Contemporary kinda reminds me of Cardi’s Best Rap Album lineup . It’s literally made for lizzo to win.

I would love a H.E.R. sweep. Her past two compliations were EVERYTHING.

However, I don’t see it happening. Hard Place mised a BPSP nomination, and I Used to Know Her missed its genre album nomination.

Rather than all around support from the R&B committee, I sense H.E.R. is backed predominantly by blue ribbon support.

I can’t see I Used to Know Her winning AOTY when it missed a genre album nom. Ditto for Hard Place winning either ROTY or SOTY when it missed BPSP.

DELUSIONAL! Ariana Grande is NOT happening in Album of the Year. Don’t let that little Pop Group nom fool you. Poptarts with very little substance never win Album of the Year. She’s in last place.

Without substance? Honey , it’s one of the most acclaimed albums of the year.

Taylor ain’t winning anything, she’s a filler in all three categories she’s nominated for. Let’s celebrate that.

Now analyzing the AoTY lineup I’m gonna go by my personal taste and for me quality wise I can say that i,i and NFR are the best albums in contention.
