Can someone who won Latin Grammys be nominated for Best New Artist if they have over 5 singles, but under 30 singles and less than 3 albums? Rosalia is having a bit of a moment this year and breaking through to the mainstream. He has tracks with J Balvin and James Blake and killed it at Coachella.Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantApril 17, 2019 at 6:16 am #1202856400
“Homecoming” is a simple live album. I strongly doubt it will be nominated for anything besides the documentary in Best Music Film.
Can live albums even be nominated for AOTY anymore? I know that two MTV Unplugged albums won in the 1990s, but I don’t think any live albums have been nominated since then.April 17, 2019 at 6:56 am #1202856440
What about other categories besides the big four?April 17, 2019 at 7:00 am #1202856445
Not sure about AOTY, but we all know live songs are eligible in genre categories and ROTY.
I won’t be predicting it, but it wouldn’t shock me if the R&B committee gives whatever song from Homecoming Beyoncé decides to submit a nomination in R&B Performance.April 17, 2019 at 7:01 am #1202856450
Beyonce released live albums before and wasn’t nonimated for AOTY with them. They ignored her joint album with Jay-Z, I don’t think we’ll see Homecoming in AOTY category. However, she’s the frontrunner in Best Music Film category from now on.April 17, 2019 at 7:09 am #1202856454
She should submit:
“Homecoming” – Best Music Film/Long Form Music Video, Album of the Year
“Before I Let Go” – Record of the Year, R&B Performance
“Lift Every Voice and Sing” – Pop Solo Performance
She’ll get at least 2 of these.April 17, 2019 at 7:12 am #1202856456

The last time released a Live album she earned 2 nominations from it.
She can get in AOTY. Its a very weak year and she’s much bigger than she was in 2010. And has accumulated 2 more AOTY nominations since then.April 17, 2019 at 7:22 am #1202856472
I don’t think Beyoncé is automatically the frontrunner for Music Film. Lemonade was thought to be a shoo-in and it lost. Adele broke all kinds of records with her live album/DVD and didn’t even get nominated even though the Grammys worship her.April 17, 2019 at 7:29 am #1202856484
Lemonade was disgustingly snubbed…Btw is Bohemian Rhapsody eligible for Best music film because it’s a music film (biopic of one of the biggest musicians of all time)? And Beyonce has NO chance of winning AOTY or any category with this live albumApril 17, 2019 at 7:56 am #1202856508
Not this Beyoncé in AOTY talk again…predicting Homecoming is just as bizarre as some of you were predicting Everything Is Love last year.April 17, 2019 at 8:10 am #1202856531
LMFAO beyonce ain’t getting into album of the year with some flop live album that will be forgotten next week. the bey stans are something else.April 17, 2019 at 8:14 am #1202856539
Beyoncé will certainly submit one of the tracks to R&B Performance, and knowing the Grammys, they will nominate her. See “Halo” (Live) and “Me, Myself & I” (Live). Or they could nominate “Before I Left Go,” which is a studio recording.
