Break up it’s not a hit but neither a flop

It was regular on charts but it’s impact was kind killed because of 7R power

It’s so bizarre seeing some of you afirm that ASIB is pretty dead when both the ST and shallow still rocking on charts and midia while Gaga is having one of the greatest years of her carrer

It’s mind-boggling. The album just left the top 20 of the Billboard 200 after 31 weeks. “Shallow” is still top 20 on the Hot 100 after 32 weeks.

It’s one thing to think ASIB won’t be nominated for AOTY because it’s a soundtrack, or because it was released in October, or because its lone hit was already nominated (and won) this year, but to say that it won’t be nominated because it’s “forgotten” is extremely inaccurate.

WBK!!! Although there could be some competition from the ICONIC “Taki Taki” by DJ Snake featuring porn star Ozuna, Grammy winner/ rapist/ stripper Cardi B, and the one and only LEGENDARY whisper pop singer Selala Gomez!!!!!

It’s a hit. It may not be the biggest of her hits, but it’s as much of a hit as something like Breathin and God is a woman.

It’s funny and sad that both breathin and break up were killed by ariana because of her rush to release new music

Being released right after the last deadline ended could hurt its nomination chances. Many Grammy-friendly albums have come out since then, so as Ariana Grande’s Thank U, Next and Billie Ellish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?

Well as I said its hurdle is the nomination. So I wouldn’t rule out a win until I see whether it’s nominated or not.

I would agree that if this year was competitive then sure, such an old album may not be remembered. But what albums are there this year? They’re literally going to go out of their way to find decent nominees.

This is very true honestly! Breathin didn’t have a chance to crack the top 10 because of the sudden release of Thank U, Next (but to be quite honest the “surprise drop” method was what helped it debut at #1).

As for BUWYG,IB she ruined her own chances at a 3rd #1 debut because of how popular 7 rings still was.

Ariana beat Taylor swift last year and Taylor swift is two times album of the year winner so why can’t she win?
the only person that can stop her is Gaga because she won over god is a woman last year but asib isn’t going to be nominated, if it does i’ll change my mind and admit she won’t win but until then i dont see who can stop her from winning, billie eillish? solange? vampire weekend? no

Please stop. Ariana is not winning anything in the General Field.

Every time I’ve come on here in the last few weeks it’s the same people arguing over ASIB/TUN. How are y’all not bored?

Get real! If nominated, A Star Is Born is NOT the frontrunner to win Album of the Year. Stop the fangirl delusion.

Shall we add this to your long list of awfully wrong predictions about Gaga: that she wasn’t going to get a grammy for ASIB, that she wasn’t going to get an Oscar for Shallow, that “Shallow” in the GF wasn’t happening, that the song and the soundtrack would plummet in the charts after two weeks etc etc…

When do you give up… Everytime you predict something about her the opposite happens. So I’m kinda happy you’re saying this, because the opposite will probably be likely to happen again

    I’m sick of it.

We need some shakeups. Hopefully, Kendrick Lamar, Adele, etc. will add some much needed fire to this discussion before the deadline.

Kendrick would be irrelevant in Aoty though if he couldn’t win last year he’ll never win and he couldn’t even beat 24K Magic which wasn’t even #1 like his song Adele can win but i don’t think they’ll nominate her again
