ASIB sold very well, got reasonably good reviews, & produced a #1 Grammy/Oscar award winning single.

If that’s not AOTY bait, then IDK what is.

And on top of all that, it’s a soundtrack to a movie about the music industry that features contributions from notable musicians from pop, rock, country, and Americana.

First they say that it’s a pretty weak year and basically anyone can get nominated than they say that it’s impossible for Gaga with a albun adored by the public and the critics to get a nomination lol

    Make it make sense

    • It’s probably because this year we were slated with huge releases by Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Ariana Grande, P!nk, Adele, Camila Cabello, Lana Del Ray, and Justin Bieber. He probably thought it would be smarter to go around the high traffic of a release schedule and do an EP. I could definitely see home getting into Rap/Sung.

I think Gaga/Cooper’s submission this year should look something like this:

    Alibi – Best Rock Song

Black Eyes – Best Rock Performance

Maybe It’s Time – Best Country Solo Performance/Best Country Song

Music To My Eyes – Best Country Duo/Group Performance

Diggin’ My Grave – Best Americana Performance/Song

Always Remember Us This Way – Best Pop Solo Performance/Song of the Year

I’ll Never Love Again – Best Song Written for Visual Media/Record of the Year

I Don’t Know What Love Is – Best Pop Duo/Group Performance

A Star Is Born: Original Soundtrack – Album Of The Year/Best Soundtrack Compilation

With her continued dominance and industry adoration, I’m starting to feel comfortable with the idea that Billie Eilish will be scoring nominations in all 4 of the General Field categories. It’ll be interesting to see which songs she submits and where.

I doubt they submit THAT much. They’ll probably push the album and maybe ARUTW, unless she releases a new single that could get into pop solo performance.
Also, Music To My Eyes is not country.Digging My Grave would fit the category better.

I hope Billie submits when the party’s over to SOTY despite not writing it. It’s probably her best shot there; bury a friend is too scattershot, and bad guy is not a good SOTY contender. Maybe xanny when she eventually releases it as a single.

As of now, I can see Billie Eilish winning Best Music Video and Best New Artist. She could also win Best Pop Vocal Album and AOTY.

ME!- Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie

    SOTY:
    Thank U, Next- Ariana Grande
    Without Me- Halsey
    Middle Child- J. Cole
    Sucker- Jonas Brothers
    Happier- Marshmello & Bastille
Dancing With A Stranger- Sam Smith & Normani
If I Can’t Have You- Shawn Mendes
ME!- Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie

    Alec Benjamin
    Ava Max
    Bazzi
    Benny Blanco
    Billie Eilish
    Dean Lewis
    Lil Nas X
    Lizzo

    AOTY: (I don’t really know this year…)
A Star Is Born- Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper
    Thank U, Next- Ariana Grande
When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go- Billie Eilish
    Hurts 2B Human- Pink

    Pop Solo Performance:
    Thank U, Next- Ariana Grande
    Bad Guy- Billie Eilish
    Without Me- Halsey
    Wow- Post Malone
If I Can’t Have You- Shawn Mendes

    Pop Duo/Group Performance:
    Sucker- Jonas Brothers
Old Town Road- Lil Nas X ft. Billy Ray Cyrus
    Happier- Marshmello & Bastille
Sunflower- Post Malone & Swae Lee
Dancing With A Stranger- Sam Smith & Normani
ME!- Taylor Swift ft. Brendon Urie

I am honestly not too content with these predictions. I feel like we have not got a lot of Grammy worthy music this year. I was very torn about Old Town Road…it is a huge smash hit so I would think it would be nominated just like God’s Plan, Despacito, Blurred Lines, and Party Rock Anthem, but I just don’t know. I will also be interesting to see how Grammy voters handle Taylor Swift this year, as well as the Jonas Brothers. Chances are we are getting more Ed Sheeran and new Rihanna and Camila Cabello this year so that could shake things up as well. What do you guys think?
