The Mother’s Daughter music video seems like a good pick for a Best Music Video nom. They love videos with political stances.

I kinda liked but I’m sorry, GIAW wasn’t nominated and this will be?

I thought that at first, but there aren’t many political music videos this year, not as many as last year. That said, God is a woman absolutely deserved and should get her dues at the VMAs .

Mother’s Daughter is just a video that uses feminism as an excuse for vulgarity and Miley’s thirst for attention. It should not even get close to the music video category.

If Lizzo is submitting something to pop, it will be Juice, not Truth Hurts.

Gaga won 3 Grammys in one night.

    That’s what you call beloved.

Alison Krauss did that in 1998, 2002, 2004, and 2006. (smiles)

God bless you and her always!!!

Holly (a fan of Alison for 25 years now)

P.S. She scored five in 2009. (smiles)

Go here to check out my most favorite singer James Otto!

I’m not sure if Rosalía is eligible for Best New Artist, since she won 2 Latin Grammy’s last year. If she is, though, she’s definitely getting in.

Patently untrue. P!nk was ignored for both Try This and I’m Not Dead, which were underperformances (although the latter ultimately went on to be a sleeper hit).

Gaga has always had more credibility with the Grammys than P!nk, which is why she matched P!nk’s total career wins in 2010 and then passed her in 2011. As of this year, Gaga has 3x as many wins as P!nk.

I was talking about nominations, not wins or how much the Grammys like them. P!nk is consistently nominated for stuff that didn’t really NEED to be nominated(What About Us, Trouble(won), Feel Good Time, Sober, Just Like Fire, TTAL movie, STWOF), while Gaga was only twice: Joanne(song) and Dance In the Dark. All the other nominations Gaga had was when she was a predictable, hardly snubbable nominee. P!nk, Kelly Clarkson, Sheryl Crow in the 2000s fit the definition of a perennial nominee, Gaga doesn’t really.

And like Power said, P!nk was nominated for every single era since her breakout one(M!ssundaztood) and that’s quite impressive considering she could’ve been easily snubbed for all of them but M!ss, Funhouse and TTAL and no one would’ve noticed. And btw, Gaga has more wins/nominations than P!nk because she’s more popular as a celebrity, not because of credibility, which P!nk has just as much if not more.

Gaga has more credibility and has more nominations because she doesn’t always release the same album. You can’t deny the grammys like her more than Pink. The latter is just a filler nominee and easy choice.

It’s not a matter of credibility. Gaga won Grammys for huge albums/eras: TF, TFM and ASIB. Joanne’s Grammy was thanks to ASIB’s momentum.

P!nk can’t have the same momentum even when her album sells a lot and has great reviews(TTAL) because she’s not an, hm, ‘interesting’ celebrity. That’s the main reason she lost Grammys even to Ariana and Lorde: she doesn’t stand out, there is always someone ‘flashier’ for a reason(media buzz) or another(bigger hit). She could’ve won for JGMAR in 2014 but in SOTY Royals was a bigger hit and Daft Punk swept. She was probably #2 in both categories. Poor thing.

Anyway, I was talking about being a perennial nominee, nothing else. P!nk has shown to be that. Gaga is nominated only when she’s competitive for a win. When she isn’t, they just don’t nominate her.

Well Gaga was nominated with 10 singles out of 22, of those 12 snubbed only five didn’t compete with another of her singles. And all her albums except ARTPOP received at least three nominations.
She’s more consistent and more of a “perennial nominee” than Pink.
Saying the opposite is like saying the grammys like Gaga more than Beyonce, or Beyonce more than Adele. It’s just not realistic.
