Honey, all those members who are boring us to death with the Sam Smith posts better think twice the next time after he gets snubbed this year.

They should have let Shawn Mendes sing the song himself. But I have to say that the song aligns more with Camila’s style.

And yes the PR relationship is so fake and attention-seeking!

I know the song was originally for Shawn, but I don’t understand how it’s good idea to have him him sing solo about loving it when they call him “Senorita”. It’s not fitting.

But what if DWAS ends up getting nominated? I don’t think it’s impossible.

I don’t think it’s impossible, but I don’t think it’s likely. It’s older and not as fresh as some of the other contenders, not as big, and Sam hasn’t been nominated in years.

Well if he gets nominated then I’ll be the one to think twice. But it won’t happen.

The Backstreet Boys also hadn’t been nominated in years and got in last year with a song that wasn’t anywhere close to a big hit. Not saying that Sam Smith is a lock, but DWAS has a chance at a nomination and I’m going to consider it as a possibility.

The Backstreet Boys are now a legacy act, like Tony Bennett who was also nominated last year. Sam Smith is a fad. There’s no point in comparing them.

Sam Smith and Halsey are getting 0 niominations this year, “Without Me” and “DWAS” are not getting in Pop categories. Those songs were basic radio-driven non-outstanding hits.

Legacy act? Comparable to Tony Bennett – one of the most awarded artists in Grammy history? OK. Now we’re just moving goalposts here. And even if that was true, all of this is being said in hindsight. Most people would have been throwing a fit if someone had predicted BSB for a nomination for song that peaked outside of the top 40.

Again, not saying that Sam can’t get snubbed, but he should be AT LEAST considered, especially after last year’s surprising pop nominees. If the Grammys like the song well enough, it won’t matter that Sam hasn’t been nominated in years. Plus, just because someone hasn’t been nominated in years doesn’t mean that their Grammy luck is squelched forever.

That’s your opinion. DWAS is going to be in the top 20 of YEC, charting higher than songs like TUN. So I don’t know understand how he’s a fad. Just accept it, it’s a successful single.

Honey, don’t get it twisted. Backstreet Boys are not in Tony Bennett’s level. But both acts are ten times ahead of Sam Smith. Your comparisson was silly. Take the L.
Can Sam Smith be nominated? Yes. Do I think it will happen? No. Am I extremely bored of the same user pushing this Smith narrative over and over again? Fuck yes.

Wrong. TUN is projected to finish #13, DWAS #14.
