I wish Mariah submitted With You to R&B Song instead of A No No. That was a blunder in her and her team’s part. I feel like it could’ve had a chance of getting nominated there.

I know it’s probably unlikely given her history with Grammys but at this point I’m just hoping for one, or two nominations. One with R&B album for Caution, and R&B Performance for With You. R&B Song will be a surprise given what was submitted.

Her best shot to getting nominated is most likely R&B Album. I think she can get into that and will most likely miss the song categories. It’ll be a real shocker if she gets 2 noms alone.

At this stage in her life and career the Grammys are like cake dressing for her, she doesn’t really need them or attach any sort of reverence to them. It’d still be nice to see a work like Caution nab at least one nomination because it is objectively just a stunning piece of work!

I just wish we would have gotten more info on R&B submissions. There will be a bunch of surprises come November. It’s hard to guess without those submissions.

Isn’t Steve Lacy in Urban Contemporary? Why are people predicting it in R&B Album?

Do we have his full submissions? I should’ve asked Natalie.

I don’t think we were told where it was submitted. I’m just assuming R&B Album since that’s where Hive Mind went last year.

I am pretty sure No Guidance is the best performing rnb song of the year, will it be snubbed due to Chris reputation

I’ll be surprised if Summer Walker can make it into Best UC with Last Day of Summer. It looks like Solange could get snubbed this year by new and younger talent. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Chris Brown is the biggest music vulture in the industry at the moment – the only reason Indigo was a success was because it was powered by a Drake-assisted lead single (No Guidance) and because it had 52 TRACKS.

It does NOT deserve a nomination AT ALL. There are so many other artists deserving of a nomination.

Solange is not getting nominated in the slightest. Her album, if you can call it anything else besides white noise, was left on release day.
