Thank U Next is a more succesful era (in terms of singles) but the album sold less than Billie’s and has had less longevity.

TUN is still ahead in term of SPS. Remember that both lead single and 7 Rings were smashing hard before the album debut week and majority of its converted sales didn’t count for BB200

Get real! Thank U, Next is NOT more successful than When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? There isn’t much difference between an 81 and an 86 on Metacritic. Y’all come up with anything.

Five points is quite a gap and not to mention TUN gathered 5 more  reviews compared to WWFAWDWG. Yeah, the difference is significant. Haha I don’t know why Billie fans are so insecure when others pulling receipts 😂😂

Billie Eilish is a one hit wonder, a hit that is nowhere near as big as Royals; she is not winning Album of the Year, Record of the Year or Song of the Year up against Old Town Road or Truth Hurts.

“Old Town Road” winning Record and Song of the Year? As if.

One is barely crossing the border of acclaim territory (80 is generally favorable), the other one is sitting comfortably in that area heck even with more reviews

This is a pointless discussion. Metacritic rarely matters when it comes to the Grammys.

On another note… I think Post Malone is safely in for Record and Song of the Year. (He was always a near-lock for Record; Song was a little doubtful.) Hollywood’s Bleeding is doing very well with voting about to start soon, so that’s keeping his name fresh in people’s minds. And “Sunflower” has had amazing longevity. It’s almost a year old and back in the top ten of the Hot 100 this week.

There isn’t much difference between an 81 and an 86 but there’s a huge difference between Taylor’s 79 and Billie’s 81. Make up your minds.

I think Old Town Road will be more respected than you’re expecting it to be, which is especially shocking coming from someone pulling so hard for Bad Guy, a song teetering dangerously on the edge of being a meme song.

People aren’t leaving Taylor out of their predictions because of her reviews.

In an alternate timeline where Juice had been the Lizzo #1, I would be putting all my chips on Lizzo getting an AOTY/SOTY/ROTY sweep. That sort of retro-leaning, empowering, personality-rich song is a recipe for Grammys success. Truth Hurts is still a contender, but the sound of that is much less in line with what gets ROTY buzz.

    For Your Consideration:

Best Picture: Weathering With You, Parasite, The Lighthouse
Best Actor: Robert Pattison - The Lighthouse
Best Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe - The Lighthouse
Best Animated Feature: Weathering With You, Promare
Best International Film: Weathering With You, Parasite

Thank U, Next and When W All Fall Asleep are both critically and Commercially successful. Thank U, Next is more critically acclaimed and When We All Fall Asleep is slightly more commercially successful. They both have their pros.

This is a pointless discussion. Metacritic rarely matters when it comes to the Grammys.

It doesn’t always matter, It does in some cases such as Kacey Musgraves’s win last year for AOTY.

Metacritic barely affect in determining the AOTY. I put Golden Hour as frontrunner simply because the album would sweep all the votes from country committee. And we all know that country voters have significant influence in general field. The question is what album within eligibility period that strong enough to snatch country committee?
