I’m here for the meltdowns on Nov. 20th when it’ll be announced that Ariana is the most nominated with 7 nominations: 6 are locks (album, song, record, solo, album and music video) and 1 other nomination either in rap sung, r&b or pop duo.

Babe, no. Ariana is not a lock because she does not have a great track record with the Grammys. She is only a lock for the pop categories (Pop Solo, Pop Vocal Album).

She is likely for SOTY. Less likely for ROTY and AOTY.

    BMV is a long shot.

Rap/sung, R&B and Pop Duo/Group are just NOT happening.

I expect anywhere between 3-5 nominations for her.

For comparison’s sake, Katy Perry only got four nominations for the Prism era: SOTY, Pop Solo, Pop Duo, Pop Vocal Album.

Justin Bieber only got four nominations for the Purpose era:
AOTY, SOTY, Pop Solo, Pop Vocal Album.

Ariana probably accepted to be nice. But it’s not smart for her.

How is it not smart for her to collab with another acclaimed and succesful GRAMMY contender with a song that’s blowing up?

Because that’s the exact same thing that Justin Bieber did on Bad Guy and we saw how THAT turned out… It’s gonna be another shit show

I don’t know what the hell Ariana is thinking doing all these random lackluster collabs. She’s oversaturating herself again.

    No?

Bad Guy was already a huge hit prior to Bieber. This is closer to Bieber collabing with Luis Fonsi on the Despacito (Remix) – minor hit getting a big boost by a star.

Y’all are also expecting it to be bad, which we don’t know yet (though this forum certainly has an obsession with Ms Ponytail).

If the remix is good (or more importantly, succesful), then it’ll give both a boost. If not, it’ll simply be forgotten like the Bad Guy remix. Did that hurt Billie’s chances?

No but it hurt Bieber’s, the same way it’ll hurt Ariana’s if the remix won’t sound good.

    Bieber is competing with???

The only thing he released this year was I Don’t Care, and that song killed itself.

Y’all are putting too much thought into this, but then again, last fall some people thought thank u next was going to ruin Ariana’s Pop Vocal chances…

Not talking Grammy’s wise. I’m talking in general about the image of the artist.

Ariana has been releasing terrible song after terrible song in this last few months since she gave up on promoting her best chance for the Grammys in her carrer, TUN the album, which was stupid. She is now releasing a remix and a ST, if they go as like Boyfriend or DCMA, I could see this hurting her chances on the Grammy next year, even if Just a little
