The 1975 kinda got fucked over by the screening panel this year . Kinda sucks :/
I just don’t understand why aren’t they on the Alternative category where they belong but they let fucking GOTYE to win Alternative album in 2013 against Fiona Apple.
They also have been ruinning Lana’s chances for years placing her music in PopOctober 17, 2019 at 5:25 pm #1203141817
The screening Committee will continue to screw over artists who blur the lines between genres and can’t make up their mind on where to place them. This is the reason why Lana Del Ray and the 1975 will never win a Grammy.October 17, 2019 at 5:52 pm #1203141839

I know Im definitely in the minority here but I think that Ms. Grande is going to repeat in Pop Vocal Album. And she deserves it too.October 17, 2019 at 6:18 pm #1203141856
Anyone have thoughts on Beck and The Black Keys getting anything outside of Rock? Beck is a favorite who collabed with Pharrell and it’s The Black Keys’ comeback single and topped Rock and Alternative charts (even if their album had moderate reviews).October 17, 2019 at 6:20 pm #1203141858
^I have Beck as a Possible contender in Song for Visual media. IDK about the Black keysOctober 17, 2019 at 7:01 pm #1203141887
Posting the same crap repeatedly is forcing it down our throats, is it not?
No. It means I stand with my prediction. It’s not like “You are delusional or an idiot to think that both albums will get snubbed”. If you guys get offended with that harmless post, you have suffered with big ego, always thinking that your opinion is superior than other. Just sayingOctober 17, 2019 at 7:10 pm #1203141896
I’ve never listened Western Stars, is it that good or somebody overhyping and overrating it?
I’m not even his fan but the hype surrounding the album is ‘massive’. The album is universally acclaimed + accompany with upcoming documentary film that also gets highly praised by critics. If we talk about acclaim token for AOTY slot then, both Western Stars and Norman Fucking Rockwell are the main contenders.October 17, 2019 at 9:08 pm #1203142012
My hope is that Adele, Rihanna, Gaga release new music by the time the Grammy’s take place.
At least we’ll have some performers to look forward to. Because with this year’s line up imagine how tired we’ll be seeing a performance of “Truth Hurts”, “7 Rings” or “Bad Guy” for the millionth time.October 17, 2019 at 9:19 pm #1203142026
I don’t think Ariana is being overhyped. However shitty the committee will find her music to be, they’ll nominate her anyway as the “popular but shitty” pick. Drake was that nominee last year for example (hence why she didn’t get in).
“Popular but shitty” so you mean what was supposed to be Ed Sheeran’s spot in the 2018 Grammys?
There’s nothing shitty about TUN. It’s an excellent pop record.October 18, 2019 at 6:10 am #1203142303

Do you guys think that if Gaga wins AOTY next year, her chances for 2021 Grammys will increase or decrease?
I mean, she would have the most prestigious one but not for a brand new solo album. So when she releases this new album, the Academy may think she was awarded enough already.
