It would be better if we had a new one a week later. But ok.

They started stopping at 500 posts bc the threads tend to act up after a certain amount

I’m not gonna lie: I’m not a fan of that rule.

Remember the good ole days when these threads would go upwards of 800 posts. 60-80 pages sometimes.

Back when Paul was on vacation and people just went ahead and made the threads and just let them run wild.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but were any of tonight’s CMA Best New Artist Of The Year award nominees submitted for the Best New Artist Grammy award?

    Cody Johnson
    Ashley McBryde
    Midland
    Carly Pearce
    Morgan Wallen

God bless you and them always!!!

Not happening. They’ll do most categories for the 2nd round though.

I mean I don’t even think “Speechless” is in SoTY yet even though it’s one of the likeliest nominees.

Lana might be competitive in pop vocal if all the younger more mainstream stars split each other’s votes.

Billie’s new song is much better than I expected, better than most or all of her albums tracks and much more feeling than Bad Guy. I am expecting this to be a hit. Before this, the only tracks I have really liked from Billie has been Ocean Eyes and When The Party’s Over.

Lizzo = Billie > Ariana > Taylor, in order of competitiveness in pop and general categories. Billie has the edge for Album, and Lizzo has the edge for Song, they are tied for Record.

I want to see Robyn get at least one nomination! She almost makes sense in Best Electronic Album. But it pisses me off when they nominate pop stars and vocalists in the electronic album category, that category should be for producers only.

    Billboard’s SoTY predictions:

Lewis Capaldi – Someone You Loved
    Billie Eilish – Bad Guy
    Lizzo – Truth Hurts
    Marren Moris – Girl
    Taylor Swift – Lover

Potential nominees that could fill the 3 other spots:
    Khalid – Talk
    21 Savage – A Lot
    Maggie Rogers – Light On
Gary Clark Jr. – This Land
Post Malone & Swae Lee- Sunflower
Lady Gaga – Always Remember Us This Way
    Halsey – Without Me
    Jonas Brothers – Sucker

I’m really surprised they didn’t even mention Thank U Next? I thought this was one of Ariana’s likeliest nominations. Also Senorita could surprise. It’s a big hit.
