Lizzo’s album is not good at all. I can’t believe she’s about to get in AOTY lmao.

I can’t lmaoooo. Juice, Cuz I Love You, Jerome, Tempo we’re highlights off the album. I would understand people not liking it, but saying it’s not good is rough ahaha.

I feel like while some of the singles on Father of the Bride were good, I think it’s Vampire Weekend’s weakest project. It’s coming from some WHO FUCKING LOVES CONTRA AND VAMPIRE WEEKEND (SELF TITLED)! But haha anyways it’s dull at times and Danielle Haim and Steve Lacey don’t really add anything.

ASIB missing would not be “sad”. Stop that shit. None of the popular albums in contention are great this year.

Well, that’s the whole point, even if the albums in contention are not great someone has to win, and ASIB would be a nice choice among them.

Don’t waste your time. Bee is against anyone winning but Beyoncé.

Last year she was fuming about Kendrick getting in AoTY with a soundtrack over Everything Is Love.

I literally love Kendrick💀💀💀💀 how do you resort to lying so easily? Not everybody in this forum is a damn Gaga stan like y’all. All I said was none of the popular albums in contention were great but I bet if I had singled out Ariana Grande, you wouldn’t have said shit.

How am I lying? All I said is that you were fuming about people predicting BP over EIL which is true, and it did end up getting in.

You have a history of dismissing other artists chances unless it’s Beyoncé, only then you’re totally fine with underperforming albums like EIL or The Gift getting in.

And not sure why you bring up Gaga as usual. Even if ASIB isn’t nominated, another popular album, that is WWAFAWDWG would make a great winner, whether you like it or not.

That’s not what you said and you know it. You said word by word that I was “fuming about Kendrick getting in over EIL” which is a complete fabrication. I was never upset about anything regarding Kendrick getting a nomination over her. I said, before last year’s nominations, that Black Panther the movie had all of the momentum rather than the soundtrack and that’s why I didn’t believe it would get in and add to the fact that no soundtrack had gotten nominated in over 15 years.

Also, have I not been defending Ariana Grande ALLLL year and I don’t even care for her like that? I even defended J. Cole and said he can get his dues this year and I damn sure ain’t a fan of his music. You make these lies to fit this warped narrative you have and then when you get checked, you try and switch around what you said, basically gaslighting

And I didn’t even bring up Gaga. Y’all stans did that on your own because every other fucking post your posting the ASIB sales or how “sad” it is that some people just aren’t rooting for poor Gaga and that soundtrack. Quit fucking whining when you take every chance to trash Ariana. Shut the fuck up with that hypocrisy.

Don’t play with me with that bullshit when you can’t even back up what you said.

Some of yall do everything to discredit Lana and keep her out of the conversation for AOTY because you don’t have the attention span to appreciate an album without concise 3 minute radio pop songs. NFR is everything, it serves story telling, poetry, emotional maturity, personal and artistic growth, beautiful melodies and harmonies, incredible vocals, rich atmospheric instrumentals. Like she is literally the pop poet who just released her magnum opus without a single bad track, and Venice Bitch is going down in history as one of the best tracks of the decade. People really out here thinking luke-warm releases from Meek Mill, James Blake, Vampire Weekend, Maren Moris and Gary Clark Jr, or Beyoncé straight to Netflix Coachella album with no new songs, and even the Lil Nas X EP will get into best AOTY before Lana, that is just absurd.

Lizzo’s album has some excellent songs but they all have the same message (self love) and some of the deeper cuts are noticeably worse in quality. Stretched out over 11 songs, the album begins to feel very one note and starts to drag. It could have benefitted a lot from some more sonic or thematic diversity. Its not the type of album you would want to sit down and listen from start to finish multiple times, but it would be an acceptable AOTY winner for me.

Get real! Beyoncé is NOT getting more than 2-3 nominations. R&B and Rap committees are going to snub her.

Will they though? The R&B committee gave her 2 noms last year, and made sure to snub Janelle so The Carters won. They also gave her an R&B Perf nom for a song that wasn’t even a single.

R&B voters love Beyoncé. I think she’ll get in R&B Perf and maybe Urban Contemporary.

Rap voters love Jay Z and they sure have a boner for Gambino, so I could see MOOD4EVA getting in there as well.

I’m not a fan of Beyoncé but she’s being underestimated. She could very well pick up 4 noms (R&B Perf, SFVM, Urban Contemporary, Rap Song and/or Rap Sung Perf)
