I hope Katy Perry’s new song isn’t nominated. Are we sure she can handle another loss? She may end up being the biggest loser in Grammy history :/ At one point, homegirl kept dragging her poor old granny out to every red carpet as some kind of good luck charm. And even then, it didn’t work. She needs to jump on a song with Tony Bennett, Stevie Wonder, Adele, JAY-Z, Beyoncé, Tisha Campbell, & Hologram Whitney Houston if she wants to win.

I hope Lizzo and Khalid submit to R&B.

Honey, Jonas Brothers would have to sell like Adele or Taylor Swift to get in Best Pop Vocal Album. I see them as going the Maroon 5 route by just only receiving a Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination.

Maroon 5’s last two albums missed Pop Album because of stiff competition.

V lost the nomination to Coldplay, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran, and Sam Smith (Lana Del Rey, Lady Gaga, and Sia were also in the running).

Red Pill Blues lost the nomination to Camila Cabello, Kelly Clarkson, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, P!nk, and Taylor Swift (also in the running: Florence + The Machine, Post Malone, Sam Smith, Justin Timberlake).

In a weaker year, like 2014 (when Lana Del Rey got in with an EP after being completely snubbed the year prior, and Robin Thicke coasted to a nomination thanks to his one hit that year) or 2017 (when Demi Lovato was nominated and Selena Gomez was considered a serious threat for a nomination), neither of those albums would have had any trouble getting in. This is also looking like a weaker year in terms of nominees so the Jonas Brothers should be fine.

At this point, I think these are the safest to get in: Ariana, Billie & Ed Sheeran.

Get real! Ed Sheeran is NOT a safe bet for Best Pop Vocal Album unless he sells well like last time.

He will don’t worry 😉 if an average song like I Don’t Care is doing this well, he’ll do well with just anything. People love him.

NRO did 15m sales 10m in streams. 40m audience. 13 or 14 debut and then she falls!!!! like nightmare jk lol. She isn’t free-falling yet anyway. 7 rings is the one falling

Stable legend Shawn is on his way back in the top 10 (in a couple weeks)

P!nk is a safer bet than Sheeran. She’s a perennial nominee.

The Jonas Brothers are on track to sell 300k+ first week and may end up with the biggest debut of the year. If you’re not predicting them for pop field nominations, you’re making a big mistake.

It doesn’t matter how many nominations they had in the past.

Even Camila Cabello got two last year with a much weaker album.

If indeed it tops debuts for this year, a nomination will be likely.
