    Late July predictions

    Best Pop Solo Performance
Lewis Capaldi – “Someone You Loved”
    Billie Eilish – “Bad Guy”
Ariana Grande – “7 Rings” or “Thank U, Next”
    Halsey – “Without Me”
Lady Gaga – “Always Remember Us This Way”

    Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
    Jonas Brothers – “Sucker”
Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper – “I’ll Never Love Again”
Post Malone & Swae Lee – “Sunflower”
Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello – “Señorita”
Sam Smith & Normani – “Dancing With a Stranger”

    Best Pop Vocal Album
Billie Eilish – When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?
Ariana Grande – Thank U, Next
    Jonas Brothers – Happiness Begins
Ed Sheeran – No. 6 Collaborations Project
    Taylor Swift – Lover

I pretty much agree with all of this. Though I am less convinced of the Lewis Capaldi buzz on this forum and think that 5th slot could go to any number of artists. I like “How Do You Sleep” and hope to see it do well.

I also expect to see “Old Town Road” in Pop Duo/Group and would bet on “I Don’t Care” by two Grammy winners over “Señorita” unless the latter really turns out to be a sustained hit. “Dancing with a Stranger” deserves a nomination, but will likely get crowded out.

And I too would hope that Dedicated by Carly Rae Jepsen and more so Honey by Robyn could eke out nods over Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and/or Jonas Bros, but that is totally wishful thinking.

Honey by Robin will be placed in best Dance/Electronic Album

Late July predictions Best Pop Solo Performance Lewis Capaldi – “Someone You Loved” Billie Eilish – “Bad Guy” Ariana Grande – “7 Rings” or “Thank U, Next” Halsey – “Without Me” Lady Gaga – “Always Remember Us This Way” Next in line: “If I Can’t Have You” (Shawn Mendes), “Walk Me Home” (P!nk), “Better” (Khalid), “You Need to Calm Down” (Taylor Swift), “Doin’ Time” (Lana Del Rey), “Broken & Beautiful” (Kelly Clarkson) Best Pop Duo/Group Performance Jonas Brothers – “Sucker” Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper – “I’ll Never Love Again” Post Malone & Swae Lee – “Sunflower” Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello – “Señorita” Sam Smith & Normani – “Dancing With a Stranger” Next in line: “I Don’t Care” (Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber), “Old Town Road” (Lil Nas X feat. Billy Ray Cyrus; depending on genre placement), “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” (Panic! At the Disco), “Me!” (Taylor Swift feat. Brendon Urie) Best Pop Vocal Album Billie Eilish – When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Ariana Grande – Thank U, Next Jonas Brothers – Happiness Begins Ed Sheeran – No. 6 Collaborations Project Taylor Swift – Lover Next in line: Free Spirit (Khalid; depending on genre placement), Hurts 2B Human (P!nk), Divinely Inspired to a Hellish Extent (Lewis Capaldi), The Greatest Showman: Reimagined (various artists), DNA (Backstreet Boys), Origins (Imagine Dragons)

Your Best Pop Duo/Group is a little messed up, the rest is okay.

    I would say:

    -Señorita

    -I Don’t Care

    -Sucker

    -I’ll Never Love Again

    -Old Town Road (Remix)

Dancing With A Stranger will be ignored and I am not sold on Sunflower (I know it’s huge but it’s more urban-leaning and kinda old.

Sam Smith will be probably completely ignored this year.

Same with Halsey, although she could get Best Pop Solo Performance nomination.0

“Sunflower” is going to end up being the 2nd biggest hit of the year after “Old Town Road”, it’s had incredible longevity and it’s from a critically acclaimed, Oscar winning box office hit. It’s also not urban in the slightest.

If this is the case, Miss Stefani will be taking both Pop Solo and Pop Duo, AGAIN!

I definitely see Capaldi in Pop Solo, but I’m not sure if his album truly made a splash. I know it’s huge in the UK, but it’ll get no support from American voters and it got middling reviews.

Expect it to be the random wtf nominee in that category. I think he’s gonna get the old vote, which is the most important vote. I think he’ll ultimately beat Gaga in Best Pop Solo if both are nominated as well.

Do you guys actually think theyll give Normani a Grammy this early in her career?

It it wins it’ll be mainly thanks to Sam Smith. I mean they gave Bradley Cooper a grammy last year, so honestly who the song is with doesn’t really matter.

Sucker ain’t winning shit. It’ll be the “Girls Like You” of this year.

Generic songs haven’t won this category for a while.

Dancing With A Stranger will not win a damn thing. It won’t even got a nomination in Best Pop Duo/Group because the competition is really tough there. The song has no hype or buzz and it charted well thanks to radio. It will be a no-factor!

    Most Likely:

    1. Sucker

    2. Old Town Road

    3.  I’ll Never Love Again

    4. Señorita

    5.Sunflower

    6. I Don’t Care

Most of the contenders this year are generic, so Sucker could win.

I’m not sold on Dancing With a Stranger.

Dancing With A Stranger is a non-event without any hype. It’s already forgotten. Grammys are over Sam Smith.

“I’ll Never Love Again” is very unlikely to get in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

But if it does, it’s winning.
