Panic! At the Disco in Song of the Year for “Hey Look Ma, I Made It.” This category often has somewhat out of left field pop songs that aren’t recognized elsewhere in the general field (“The A Team,” “I Took a Pill in Ibiza,” “Issues,” In My Blood’”) and Panic are the most commercially successful they’ve ever been. They can’t recognize “High Hopes” since it was entered last year, but “Hey Look Ma” is a hit in its own right. With how uncompetitive the category is, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them pop up.

I don’t know how confident some of you are of Lizzo. I only have her in AOTY and BNA. But she could get into SOTY and ROTY. Or is that what most are predicting anyway? To me that would be a surprise.

As for snubs, I have Ariana in all 3 GF. I could see her getting snubbed in ROTY/SOTY.

Sam Smith//Halsey/Ed Sheeran will be non-factors despite having hits. Their is no buzz for them. Billie, Lizzo, Khalid, Ariana, Gaga on the other hand will be showered with nominations and probably wins. Buzz/hype/narrative plays a huge role.

Isn’t Lizzo very much ineligible for BNA?

I have her as AOTY and Urban Contemporary.

Lizzo is doing amazing for a R&B artist, just like Ella Mai last year. She’s getting major noms, which one(s) is a different question.

I expect Billie to be nominated in nearly every category she is eligible for. That being said, she will not sweep.

Right now I’d bet on “Thank U, Next” over “Bad Guy” in Pop Solo.

I doubt bad guy wins anything. It sounds like ASMR, for God’s sake.

And I think Gaga’s main challenge will be getting the nomination for AOTY. If she does, I think she could have it in the bag…

Agreed. Emphasis on “could” because AOTY sometimes goes to a critical darling, not a huge album. We could have another Golden Hour/Morning Phase/The Surburbs winner again. They don’t have to choose between Gaga, Ariana and Billie.

We’ve answered this question plenty of times and you keep ignoring it.

    I don’t think she’s getting an AOTY nom, but ROTY and/or SOTY, she’s a near-lock.

Taylor Swift will get 0 nominations.

Taylor Swift will get Best Pop Vocal Album like Ed Sheeran. Ed is also possible in Best Pop Duo/Group.

I don’t know if “Look Ma” is comparable to those other songs.
