I’m happy with my placement. Rap and especially R&B are so hard to predict because the panels love throwing in curveballs here there and everywhere.

Urban Contemporary was a surprise. Jamila Woods was criminally snubbed :/

I’m still surprised that “Make It Better” by Anderson .Paak and Smokey Robinson along with Raphael Saadiq didn’t get nominated for Traditional R&B Performance. Either one of the songs would have been a nice winner in that category.

    My predictions for now:

    R&B Performance: Could’ve Been

    R&B Song: Could’ve Been

R&B Album: Ventura or Paul. I don’t know who to choose here honestly. I just feel that PJ Morton is hard to ignore after his surprise win last year which was a tie. I also know that .Paak’s win was resulted in a tie last year as well.

Traditional R&B Performance: Built for Love (going out on a limb here)

Urban Contemporary: Cuz I Love You

    Rap Performance: Middle Child

    Rap/Sung Performance: Higher

    Rap Song: a lot

    Rap Album: Igor

it’s interesting that Paul Grein & Natalie didn’t see Ventura submitted into R&B Album & today it turned out it actually was…

i’m also surprised that Anderson’s Tints & Make It Better missed out 😐

    J. Cole deserves a Grammy. Nipsey can have Best Rap/Sung, but I hope the sentimental vote doesn’t go over to other categories. I would love for Cole to win Performance and Song. He’s always in the conversation with Kendrick and Drake, but he doesn’t have the Grammy wins.

Boring year for the Rap and R&B nominees. So many better songs to nominate …

I’m still confused by these nominations. Especially for R&B… but whatever. Really surprised to see that I tied for #1, let alone had 45% accuracy. What a mess.
