The difference is that is actually realistic. Ariana winning AOTY is a complete pipe dream.

Yikes, everyone messing up their chances. Billie serving horrible vocals and desperation, Lizzo twerking bare a*s at a children’s event. Ariana is coming to win!

She had one of the biggest albums this year (the second biggest on the list) and one of the most acclaimed ones too (second most acclaimed on the list). Plus she’s an established pop icon that is long overdue for GF recognition. Why is her win a ”complete pipe dream” in any way?

This website is severely underestimating Ariana. Not saying that she is definitely going to win but her chances aren’t close to 0. Remember when everyone said her beating Taylor for BPVA last year was impossible?

For those who were wondering back in the day:
    https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/awards/8545777/finneas-one-of-the-youngest-grammy-nominees-producer-of-the-year-non-classical

No Finneas isn’t the youngest person ever to be nominated for PoTY but he’s pretty close.

I think Mariah Carey and Wendy Melvoin still hold that record.

NFR has the most acclaimed album of the year. Critics really fell in love with her this year. Man. I really hope she can pull out an AOTY win.

Posters here have a hard time accepting that Ariana is no longer seen as a teen bopper, and is actually a respected musician both critically and commercially, as well as among respected musicians. She’s not a threat to win Album imo, but predicting her is not a “pipedream”.

But hey, Billie Eilish is the greatest artist of all time so what does an opinion matter.

Sweetener could have had some general field noms, especially with 8 slots. But Ariana is def not long overdue for general field wins.

I’m sure she had enough votes to get in.

The Lakers Game was not just a “children’s event.”
