Interesting that Billie won best artist while Lizzo won breakthrough artist. I guess Billie has been simmering for a while and just reached a boiling point with her debut album, while Lizzo had a real breakthrough 0 to 100 year.

    Ew to OTR winning SOTY

    Last years winners:

Billie following Kacey’s footsteps, love to see it.

Billie is campaigning like crazy. I have her most likely to win in a lot of categories but I really hope the Grammys are not crazy for her. Like, please! But yeah, I am not delusional- Billie is a huge threat, sadly!

Billie is not a lock for BNA. Lizzo appeals to a bigger audience and she’s definitely more the “traditional” popstar that wins this category.

Be ready, she’s probably going home empty-handed. Her best shot is Pop Vocal Album.

Billie Eilish won’t be losing any Grammys to Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.  That’s for sure!

The optimal outcome would be her winning only BNA and then disappearing into obscurity (ala Alessia Cara)

I think the Grammys should air these categories

    (obviously the Big 4)

pop solo performance – multiple record/ or song of the year nominees (Ari, Lizzo, billie, Taylor)  plus beyonce

country song – chance to possibly give tanya and brandi screen time plus country field inclusion

alternative album – two album of the year nominees

r&b performance – two GF nominees (H.E.R. and Lizzo) and r&b field inclusion

rap album or rap/sung performance – rap field inclusion. could show love to Nipsey.

Depends on the person tbh… since Billie is new, she needs all the attention she can get. Her campaigning is getting more attention from the committee/voters because she’s been appearing in more Grammy/Oscar bait programs.

There is no need to televise any Rap categories.

I do think some voters are more likely to vote for a young teenage girl than a confident sexual black obese woman.
