Billies breakthrough was just really more massive than Lizzos. Girl could already go on a world tour and sell out arenas I’m sure. Even with only 1 hit. (Altho with an additional good bunch of streaming hits.)December 16, 2019 at 1:26 pm #1203240251
Lizzo has SNL this Saturday so we’ll see if the reception of that is the same as her BET and VMA performance.
(contemplating whether I should go or not 🙃🤔)

This is a great video that details how the song came together from a production and lyrical standpoint. This is a perfect promotional tool.December 16, 2019 at 1:36 pm #1203240265
And as much as I don’t want to see it, I’m starting to make my peace with the fact that Lizzo will not win anything in the GF and Pop categories. She just won’t win anything Billie is competing in.
The whole industry is rallying behind Billie. She’s been given every possible award.
I’m just trying to keep the faith! But it’s getting hard. I’d love to see a woman of color win BNA for once.December 16, 2019 at 1:39 pm #1203240274
Billie Eilish and Finneas Break Down Her Hit Song ‘Bad Guy’ This is a great video that details how the song came together from a production and lyrical standpoint. This is a perfect promotional tool.
Lmao when she yells “we worked really hard on this shit!!” in other words, better give us RoTY & SoTY for itDecember 16, 2019 at 1:41 pm #1203240279
Billie and Finneas are really thirsty for those Grammys. I haven’t seen this level of campaigning in my GD years.Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantMarcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantDecember 16, 2019 at 1:49 pm #1203240315
Billie and Finneas are really thirsty for those Grammys. I haven’t seen this level of campaigning in my GD years.
The thing is that they don’t need to campaign this much. The industry has rallied around Billie so much that she’s a lock to win a Grammy regardless.December 16, 2019 at 2:05 pm #1203240365
I don’t really see a win for Lover in SOTY but curveballs have happened. I actually think ARUTW and SYL are HUGE threats in that category. I really would not be surprised to see Gaga take that category.
I’m sticking with Truth Hurts for now tho.

Rolling Stones has had that video since July, before nominations were out.
They filmed it during her RS photoshoot. IDK why they waited all this time to release it.

If ARUTW got into Pop Solo, she would’ve definitely been one of the frontrunners, but it didn’t.
The song itself is very well-written though. But not sure the voters will pick it despite passing on it in Pop Solo.
Though, I do think that part of the reason why Gaga missed in Pop Solo, is because she won that category with a non-hit last year, so they might’ve felt that was enough. I did say before the nominations that she wasn’t going to make it in Pop for that very reason as well.
