I feel like we’re underestimating Lizzo once again. She was underestimated for the noms as well

no she nominated for what everyone predict

No. The only thing I’d change maybe is giving ROTY to bad guy too but 3 GF wins for Billie…I’m not sure if they are going to make a newcomer go up that stage three times (I wouldn’t mind though as long as she doesn’t get all four).

Billie, Lil Nas and Lizzo would all receive three Grammys for their huge breakouts. Billie receives two of the four big Grammys and thus is the biggest winner of the evening. Lizzo doesn’t win any GF Grammys but sweeps all her R&B nominations. Ariana only gets two Grammys but the most important one (AOTY) and becomes the first person to win BPVA consecutively and the 2nd to win it more than once. Literally everything would be perfect and justified with this outcome. And I think it’s pretty realistic.

More critics lead to a lower average score. TUN is factually the second most acclaimed album. I know this forum hates the idea of Ariana winning but please stay to the facts.

Sure, but if we go by placement on 2019 year-end lists, another metric of acclaim, we see the following:

    1. NFR

    4. WWAFA,WDWG?

    11. Father of the Bride

    12. Cuz I Love You

    21. thank u, next

    26. i, i

It’s still a great placement, but indicates that tu,n might not be necessarily be the second most acclaimed. And it’s not like it matters, anyways. All of the albums in that seem to really be in contention for the win are legitimately critically acclaimed, which is nice to see

Oh please. You could use anything to determine acclaim if you want to. I could go ahead and argue that streams = acclaim because people only listen to what they like. It‘s nonsense obviously. The official way of determining acclaim is and has always been Metacritic. Don‘t try to change it to fit your narrative.

    Sam Smith did though.

Doubt Cellophane will win BMV over This Land and Old Town Road.

And notice how he lost AOTY. I think Billie will be a similar case.

Sam identifies as non-binary so if you could please use their preferred pronouns that would be nice. (I know not everyone knows that so this isn’t to shame you or anything but just going forward so you do know)

I agree with this, but I still think Billie could win Record + Song + BNA or Album + Song + BNA. I think she’ll either lose Album to Vamp Weekend/Lizzo/Ariana or lose Record to Lil Nas X. She could also lose Song to Lizzo but I’m not so sure about that.
