Slightly surprised Folklore is not on Paste’s list. I recall them giving it a pretty good review. But I also recall them posting an article defending the album against indie heads being dismissive towards it. I thought at the time that article was pretty much a guarantee it’d make their list. I still think the album has a decent shot at ending up in the aggregated top five, especially now that the lists are to become more American-centric. But it was never a sure thing.

Interested in seeing if Dua can stay in the top 8. Also, will Run the Jewels be the only hip-hip/“urban” act that ends up in the top ten? I’m expecting a semi surge for Perfume Genius over the next ten or so counted lists.

Yeah, they gave folklore a solid 8.7, higher than most albums on that list. In fact, they ranked folklore at #1 best album in July.

Regarding current aggregate, 6/10 of my prediction are in the Top 10. After Hours kinda flopping right now tho

Looks like Waxahatchee will definitely end up in the top ten, as it should. I figured it would considering that it did so well in the mid-year lists. But I was slightly worried. Was hoping What’s Your Pleasure would end up in the top ten, but that doesn’t look likely at this point.
