Shakira, Jennifer Lopez to perform at 2020 Super Bowl halftime show
Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are your next Super Bowl halftime show performers.
The singers took to Twitter Thursday to share teasers about their upcoming performance, each sharing a sultry picture of the other, complete with a gold Pepsi cuff on Shakira’s upper arm and a Pepsi ring on Lopez’s finger (the brand sponsors the halftime show), plus a gold ring and necklace featuring the date of Super Bowl LIV.
“This is happening. 02.02.20,” Lopez wrote in the tweet.
Lopez and Shakira are the latest megastars to headline the halftime show, with Maroon 5, Travis Scott and Big Boi fronting the 2019 show. They join the ranks of other pop superstars to perform at the event over the years including Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Prince and more.September 26, 2019 at 1:57 pm #1203105691
OK, what do we want the setlist to include?
Whenever Wherever better play because that is one of the best pop songs of the 00s.
Also, I love She-Wolf as a super campy furry anthem, so please play that Shakira.
Oh and Hips Don’t Lie as well! That is another classic song that people will know.

First of all, yes, She Wolf is a great song.
Second, can’t wait for all the complaining.
However, they could each stand alone on the stage, no screens, no lights, no nothing, just hit play on a Spotify setlist with their own songs and it will still be better than Coldplay and the mess that was Timberlake’s performance. So I don’t really know what people will complain about since they’re both perfect for this, even if Shakira hasn’t been popular in the States in years.
JLo of course is going full steam ahead with her Oscar campaign.September 26, 2019 at 2:12 pm #1203105725
Shakira better perform La Tortura and Jlo better cut Let’s Get Loud out of her set list.September 26, 2019 at 2:12 pm #1203105728
I find a very good pairing, obviously the dance will stand out.
And JLO ever since the Vanguard Award lasy year is working hard to make her career rise ala Gaga post Sound of Music. Specially with the oscar buzz movie and walking for Versace in the iconic Grammy dress

This will be amazing! Best headliners in history! It’s so great because the game will be in Miami. Huge Latino representationSeptember 26, 2019 at 2:22 pm #1203105780
I suppose Shakira does something like:
Waka Waka or whatever that was called
Hips Dont Lie
La Bicicleta (hate it, but probable)
Get Right (annoying but obvious)
Waiting for Tonight
On the Floor
Dance Again (or at least she should)
Love Dont Cost a Thing
(No! to Let’s Get Loud, but it does make sense).
Let’s not pretend they won’t record a shitty Spanglish duet for this.
Let’s not pretend Pitbull isn’t going to show up.September 26, 2019 at 7:59 pm #1203106935
lol JLo really wants the golden dildo.September 26, 2019 at 8:56 pm #1203107045
Y’all acting like Shakira isn’t one of the biggest international artists worldwide – I think they’re trying to appeal to more than just the typical American viewer by having her perform.September 26, 2019 at 9:29 pm #1203107079
Two Latina Queens!
I’m here for it. Since it’s in Miami, they better bring out Gloria Estefan.
“Hips Don’t Lie”
“Waiting for Tonight”
“Love Don’t Cost a Thing”
“On the Floor”
“Let’s Get Loud”
My name is NOT Susan.September 27, 2019 at 7:53 am #1203107814

I, for one, am all for this. This will be much more lively and memorable than the borefest of a show we sat through last year.February 2, 2020 at 5:34 pm #1203326715
Well that was a huge upgrade from Justin Timberlake and Maroon 5.February 2, 2020 at 5:39 pm #1203326728
Can we please ban men from ever performing the superbowl half-time show? Shakira and JLO just showed us why.
We can make small exceptions for people like Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson and Prince. But other than that, no more generic male headlines please, like Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5 and Coldplay. Just no..
