I don’t think Billie will be a factor come next years Grammys, unless she completely does something differently. Granted she won for everything I wanted which was completely undeserved and shocking. She herself didn’t even think she deserved it.

Does anyone think there’s any way recency bias might hurt Billie in the upcoming grammys? She’s won big twice in a row and since she didn’t win in BPSP BOTH times, I have a feeling she might not be the obvious frontrunner for BPVA as a lot of people think. There’s the fact that her album isn’t even out yet, tho we know it’ll have a certain commercial success and is pretty much a shoo in for pop categories. I still think positions is the frontrunner for BPVA.
If she could win ROTY again just a year after her GF sweep, I don’t think any recency bias will hurt her or anything.April 15, 2021 at 10:29 pm #1204203195
As much as I like positions, it’s probably not winning if Billie is there. Honestly, I feel Olivia could even beat her.

I feel like people are underestimating Olivia in BPVA. SOUR already has 2 huge and acclaimed hits, and looking from past winners of this category albums with huge hits usually end up winning.

Honey, let’s discuss Olivia Rodrigo’s Best Pop Vocal Album chances in July or August. The album has NOT even been released yet. Duh!April 16, 2021 at 6:32 am #1204203559
Olivia is releasing her album on the same day as BTS’ new single 🤔
new pop teen sensation vs scooter’s bossesApril 16, 2021 at 8:29 am #1204203668
1. Billie Eilish – TBA
2. Ariana grande – positions
3. Justin bieber – Justice
4. Olivia rodrigo – sour
5. Taylor swift – evermoreApril 16, 2021 at 9:58 am #1204203883
Now that it’s kind of confirmed that Taylor is about to release the 1989 rerecording.. do you think it will big a player in pop categories?
Since the album was hugely successful back then and it already won PVA, I don’t think it will be nominated. But, I do think some of its tracks might get into Pop Solo Performance.. especially the vault tracks or if it’s one of the original songs then it would Wildest Dreams (she’s already promoting this song), which could have been nominated the following year to 1989 if it hadn’t won album awards.
What do you think?April 16, 2021 at 10:04 am #1204203899
I think so I was checking the schedules and the BBMA’s are on the 23rd so they’re probably debuting the new single there
I had predicted the 21st due to the BBMAS, so it makes sense. I’m not really aware of their deal thing with Scooter, does it mean better promotions for BTS?
