Honey, Harry Styles submitted “Adore You” to Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Source? I find this hard to believe. What was Harry’s GF submission then? And hard disagree with your opinion. Fine Line wasn’t deserving of BPVA over Future Nostalgia at all. Imo, Dua was the most deserving for both BPVA and BPSP.

He submitted Adore You to ROTY and SOTY and Watermelon Sugar to BPSP. Not the first time this has happened (Adele submitted Someone Like You to BPSP and Rolling on the Deep to ROTY and SOTY, Beyoncé submitted Hold Up to BPSP and Formation to ROTY and SOTY)

Harry’s submissions were incredibly tough to navigate. Watermelon Sugar was more recent and went number 1, though Adore You showed extreme longevity and was widely considered the better song. It makes sense that they wanted to pick the more acclaimed song to get past the committees and leave the buzzier song for a straight vote. In the end, the BRP didn’t accept him, and I doubt that would have been different with a Watermelon Sugar submission.

You make a great point with the committees, but I do think that in a year like this one upcoming without committees Watermelon Sugar would’ve gotten a nomination

For sure. I would argue that either submission probably would have made it in without a committee, Harry was clearly well-liked.

According to some insiders the next single of Lil Nas X is a collaboration with Miley Cyrus. Strong contender for BPDGP nom.

Extremely unpopular opinion: Prisoner is a better song than Levitating. I know Dua will submit Levitating to BPDGP but I personally would rather see Prisoner on that list.

Yeah but only one of the two songs can be nominated
