I do wonder if they’re planning a single release. The Weeknd hinted at them performing the song for her VEVO Live Series.

Hopefully they let pov do its thing through summer and then release it during fall, if they do make it a single. I don’t see it becoming a hit, honestly. I can’t even remember what it sounds like and I enjoyed Positions more than a lot of people.

It’s one of my personal favorite songs from her, love the 90s big R&B ballad vibes, and the production is immaculate. IDK if I see it being a hit, I agree.

I think, if they want another single, Nasty would be the best choice. Sounds like something that would smash in multiple formats. I also would’ve liked a West Side remix with Brandy but I don’t see that happening considering no one else likes that song lol.

I think you should make sure you know how incredibly thirsty you are for my attention. Obsessed much? I authoritatively believe so.

    Ugh you’re worse than Gucci

Just to be clear, Boz wasn’t the first to come up with this idea.

I think someone had posted those a while back in the thread about personal predictions but thanks nonetheless.

Interesting no BTS for Pop Duo/Group. I’d assume they’d be top 2.

I am not a BTS fan so it is extremely possible that I am underestimating them (I do the same for Bieber) but I feel like Coldplay, Bruno Mars of Silk Sonic, Imagine Dragons, and Maroon 5 are proven  pop favorites and AJR’s song was much bigger. I think BTS needs a Dynamite level song (popularity wise) to get in again

Hmm, I mean Imagine Dragons have only gotten in Pop 1 year, so I wouldn’t call them favorites. Plus that song was kinda irrelevant haha.

I do agree that Silk Sonic and Coldplay are ahead.

Pov deserves a SOTY nomination, honestly. The way it lyrically embraces self love themes while acknowledging the insecurities and trust in a relationship gives me chills. It’s easily Ariana’s best written song.

FYC | Best music this season:

Arlo Parks - Collapsed In Sunbeams
    St. Vincent - Daddy's Home
    Jazmine Sullivan - Heaux Tales
Tyler, The Creator - Call Me If You Get Lost
    Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend

You’re right I forgot Radioactive wasn’t nominated in pop lol. Then lump them with BTS I guess fighting for the 6th spot

BTS are probably happening in BPDGP. People shouldn’t underestimate them after getting in with “Dynamite”.

Get real!  “POV” does NOT deserve a Song of the Year nomination.  The lyrics are rather pedestrian.  BARF!

It is a great love song and I think Ariana is kinda petite vocalist Queen, so a random SOTY nom given her popularity won’t be a shock. She deserves some GF recognition.
