July 14, 2021 at 11:11 am #1204346329I want Kid Laroi “Stay” to get in Pop Duo but he’s gonna have a hard time beating out the Bieber submission whether it be Peaches or Holy for that nomination. I kinda hate this rule.
July 14, 2021 at 11:39 am #1204346388Stay is really atrocious. It is funny because the people who dissed Abel with Blinding Lights on making juvenile synth pop. Like what Bad Habits does Ed Sheeran have? He is literally a white English married man. You cheating on your wife? You doing drugs? Stay lol is really laughable too. It literally repeats the chorus multiple times and has not progression.
Peaches though did what needed to be done. Justin, Daniel, and Giveon really did what needed to be done on that song.

Out of the two, Peaches deserves more. Even Holy. But tbh I didn’t even mind Stay, I thought I wouldn’t like it but I do.
BPDGP seems like a really tough category this year with Levitating, Kiss Me More & whatever Bieber submits. Perhaps Normani x Cardi could sneak into this category too if the song is a big hit.

– Sam Smith, “Love Goes”I can see Planet Her going to Progressive R&B Album instead, it’s a lot more R&B than pop.
I think Ed could easily sneak in, in all honesty. I wouldn’t count Lorde out just yet (although in all honesty the singles haven’t done well so far, at all), and Lil Nas X could surprise with his album – again, it could possibly go to Progressive R&B depending on the majority of the album’s content.

Nas already stated that he will submit MONTERO to Pop Vocal Album on an interview with Zac Campbell. Even if he doesn’t go there, I’m guessing the next category in line is Rap Album, not R&B.
