Levitating was never winning. Remixes do not have a good track record in the BPDGP (Pop Duo Group Performance) category in particular.

Idk why anyone would write off Peaches, KMM, and Levitating. Especially for a Tony/Gaga release that doesn’t exist yet.

    Old Town Road Remix?

Lmao. Those two are absolutely NOT comparable.

Old Town Road Remix is the fastest Diamond certified song in history that featured a monumental (i’d argue ground-breaking) mix of Country and Rap that features a black queer artist. (With the song being performed in MTV, BET, etc. Country Awardshows). Not only did it score a BPDGP (Pop Duo Group Performance) nod, it also received a BMV nomination. (and eventually a win). **Old Town Road was a phenomenon.

    Levitating has NONE.

(That was all the same year of Lil Nas X’s big breakthrough year receiving both a BNA and an AOTY nomination for his EP)

After seeing how Dua’s label is freezing DaBaby out on radio, I think it won’t be submitted.

Agreed. She’ll probably release a live version or a remix with another artist in the next few weeks.

Controversial opinion but if Levitating ends up in pop solo, it misses.

If it ends up in Pop Solo it won’t miss. Voters will be checking for Levitating on their ballots come October. With or without DaBaby.

The new contender is Levitating (Live) and it’s going into Pop Solo!

The only issue is if Dua submits Levitating (Live from Studio 2054) to Pop Solo is now she’s giving her way her chance at making into Record of the Year. But maybe with no Blue Ribbon she can be the first live track to make ROTY.

If it happens in Pop Solo, I don’t see why it wouldn’t happen in ROTY. I have no doubt that Happy (live), for example, made top 5 in ROTY

I’m sure Set Fire To The Rain live got more votes than some blue ribbon pannel picks for ROTY in 2012.

They have something in common. Levitating is the biggest song of the year, just like OTR was in 2019

Wouldn’t Dua submit were good to pop solo?
