Wild Side by Normani & Cardi is listed as pop on Apple Music. To me it is very R&B. Can we see it in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance if it becomes a huge hit?

“Wild Side” should go to R&B where it belongs. It could very well get in the Performance category.

Olivia Rodrigo sort of has Pop Solo Performance in the bag thus far. Not necessarily sold on her winning Pop Vocal Album yet though, unless Billie Eilish’s perfect storm (the tanking of her singles + getting cancelled on social media) really takes a toll on the voters’ perception of her as an artist. That said, if Olivia wins Pop Vocal album she’s probably also taking Album Of The Year if nominated.

FYC | Best music this season:

Arlo Parks - Collapsed In Sunbeams
    St. Vincent - Daddy's Home
    Jazmine Sullivan - Heaux Tales
Tyler, The Creator - Call Me If You Get Lost
    Wolf Alice - Blue Weekend

I wish Normani’s team never took her off of “If It Ain’t Me” with Dua Lipa because if it became a huge hit it would definitely win Pop Duo/Group Performance.

if Gaga/Tony can manage to get a nom there, they’re winning

Honestly I really love my girl Normani, but the amount of missed opportunities, mismanagement(RCA doesn’t have a good record with promotion lately) cancelled albums has really hurt her Momentum, 3 years of random collabs and still no proper debut album roll-out. I think Warner Records have as top priority Levitating for Grammys 2022, since it is the second biggest song of 2021 in consumption(streaming and sales).

Yes. I agree. Super mismanaged. The reason Olivia had such a successful debut was because they immediately released not only singles but along with the rest of the album.

Imagine if Olivia released an EP instead of her debut album. Jeez. And now H.E.R. just released “Back Of My Mind” (her debut album) after like years of random songs, EPs, etc.

apparently the lead is coming around Tony’s birthday in two weeks, which makes sense since him & Gaga are doing two shows at Radio City Hall that week, one of them being on his actual birthday as well.
