I don’t mean to sound pretentious but how come “Stay” is topping the Billboard Hot 100 for yet another week?! I don’t know if I’m simply out of touch or if there’s some massive payola going on, but the song is abhorrent.

It’s a really bad song but people are streaming it like crazy. It’s went above 10M+ streams a day

Looks like we’ll have the same number one song for weeks again. This year is very slow for new releases (from huge popular artists). We need Beyoncé, Rihanna, Adele, Kendrick, etc. to save us!!

“Stay” is an aggressively bad song. It makes “Peaches” sound like a masterpiece.

From these names; there are talks of Beyoncé releasing on September or on her birthday or within this eligibility period, it might be possible we get a Bey single before the album drops (?)

Few weeks left but I think pop vocal album line-up is kinda decided now.

    Winners:

Pop Solo – Olivia Rodrigo (Spoiler: Ed Sheeran)

    Pop Duo/Group – Tony Bennett/Lady Gaga (Spoiler: Lizzo/Cardi B or Justin/Daniel/GIVEON)

Pop Album: Billie Eilish (Spoiler: Olivia Rodrigo or Bieber)

Unpopular opinion: I think Bieber could take Pop Vocal Album. He’s had a full era of successful singles this past year, including 2 #1 hits, he dominated streaming and Top 40/Pop radio, but has yet to win a Pop Grammy. I suppose the same argument can be made for Olivia, but she will no doubt be rewarded elsewhere (New Artist, Pop Solo), so if voters want to spread the wealth (which they did last year with Dua/Harry) they might award his album… but only if they are sick of (over)awarding Billie.

I definitely agree that this is the top 5 but Doja can easily knock out Justin, Taylor or even Ariana at this point.

If there was any justice in this world, Mood Ring would get a BPSP nomination.

Nice photos but we know Ariana is the weak link there. 😭 Remember I said last year Post Malone will Miss pop vocal due to very early release. It is the same thing with Positions.

ariana is always nominated what do you mean? It’s not like Planet HER is the a monster of a beast. It’s okay, but definitely not bigger in eyes of Positions from Ariana

The difference is that Ariana has 2 wins in pop whereas Post has 2 nominations. In 2019, Post missed a nomination for B&B while Ariana won with Sweetener. This comparison doesn’t work for someone who’s gotten at least 2 pop nominations for their past 4 albums.

Positions is not even Pop Album, it is as Pop as Planet HER Pop is.
