Does anybody think Cynthia Erivo has any chance here with her debut album – maybe a pop solo nom – as a surprise nominee?

Honey, Pop is too crowded.  Cynthia Erivo will NOT get in.

I do not, with how crowded pop is this year there are artists that are more well-known and even previous nominees in the field that are considered to have no chance at a nomination. I can’t see Cynthia sneaking in.

definitely pop, I think Industry Baby might be submitted for melodic rap though. Although it may just end up in BPDGP

going to be very interesting to see how the biggest pop nominees split up their submissions since so many of them are solo songs

    Ariana: positions, 34+35, pov
Billie: happier than ever, therefore I am, your power, lost cause
Olivia: drivers license, good 4 u, traitor, deja vu
Ed: bad habits, shivers, visiting hours, afterglow
harry styles: golden, falling, treat people with kindness
dua lipa: some live/solo version of levitating/love again, we’re good
lorde: solar power, mood ring, stoned at the nail salon

and on the other hand you have someone like bieber who has a bunch of songs for pop d/g
    – peaches
    – monster
    – stay
    – mood remix
    – lonely
    – holy
    – don’t go
    – essence remix

Majority of them should really just stick with one song per category so it doesn’t split votes between 2 or more songs, especially in Pop Solo since they only get 1 nom.

Probably a bit far fetched to imagine but what’s the likelihood of Billie Eilish missing either Pop Solo or Pop Vocal Album? Even though the album is acclaimed this project has yet to produce a Big Pop Hit besides “therefore I Am” which is already old news.
