If Gaga performs it’ll be solo – Tony is sadly not going back on stage (doctor’s orders). Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not even in attendance given that it’s across the country.

I completely forgot about that. I can’t see Gaga being the opener without him, I could see them asking her to perform solo though (especially if Do I Love You? gets nominated). The opener is very likely Adele or maybe Silk Sonic

I think Olivia could open. Lizzo was this newcomer and she opened the Grammys. People would be excited to tune in and see Olivia open.

Truth Hurts was attached to an album released in 2019 though (Cuz I Love You Deluxe Edition). Beggin’ isn’t as far as I know, so I believe it isn’t eligible.

However, I do think they could make an exception if their team argues that the song was released in the US in 2021.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too. I believe Thinking Out Loud successfully did that. They could argue similarly that the release in the U.S should be considered the date on which it was sent to U.S radios and gained familiarity in the U.S.

I would love to see doja open up with a medley of Planet Her, with her bringing out SZA at the end for KMM

I feel like BTS has to get into the Duo/Group performance or else the Army will get pissed again.

While BTS has a wall to cathedral ceiling of major awards from various major award shows across the world, both BTS and the majority of fans understand that it will probably be a cold in *ell before they get Grammy.

Honestly thou it is the Grammys that need BTS and the fans more than they need the Grammys. How many viewers did the show pull in? While BTS can regularly pull in 7 million + on a spur of the moment live show with no warning of when they will be on. Any awards show would love to get those numbers.

but wouldn’t they want a grammy nom for one of their own songs, not a song they performed on the voice 4 years ago?

This is delusional thinking, what Grammy needs is transparency, not pandering on popular artists.
