I mean we all thought it was going Melodic Rap.

Lil Nas X can still go 3/3 tbh! Elton has been all over the place. He has his collaboration album out. Cold Heart just went #1 and the song isn’t eligible for BPDGP. So they might see it as a chance to reward him a nomination in the category. Just not competitive to win tho.

honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if a fringe contender like Prisoner, One of Me, safety net, or La Vas a Olvidar got in based on name checking alone, similar to Boyfriend, Un Dia, ‘S Wonderful, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, & Fall in Line.

I really feel like the closest things to “locks” in this category include Kiss Me More and Stay, with Gaga x Tony being a near lock.

They didn’t make it last year with the much more successfull Memories.

I genuinely think had Memories not been overlooked last year everyone would be predicting Beautiful Mistakes this year. I think it has a decent shot, but in a competitive year it could easily miss. Definitely not a contender to win

I’m angry at Dua’s team for not entering “We’re Good” for Pop Solo and BMV. She didn’t stand many chances but her label’s choices only killed them if anything. If she’s very lucky she may only get in Music Film and Pop Duo.

    OMG great predictions!!

I think Lil Nas X might (?) be in BPVA.
But I can definitely see a scenario… where he misses BPVA and makes it in AOTY!

Also, I appreciate the Best Pop Traditional Album predictions so much!

He submitted to pop last year.

Also, he was accepted into rnb already.

if i remember correctly he posted a note on instagram the day the nominations where revealed and said changes was a r&b album and it was “weird” the academy placed him in pop
