Olivia Rodrigo is definitely a possibility for Pop Solo. But I need to see how the rest of 2021 plays out with other major contenders before she enters my VERY early predictions.
“drivers license” is definitely right up the GRAMMYS alley.

If Adele releases, she will sweep the pop field, because there is no commitee to block her…January 12, 2021 at 8:09 am #1203979387
I’m not sure Rodrigo will make it into Pop Solo. Don’t forget Adele, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, etc. could potentially release before the eligibility window ends as well. People in another thread where saying Rodrigo wouldn’t get into BNA because the Grammys like to nominate artists when they have albums out to prove they aren’t flukes? But in the last two years, Lil Nas X, CHIKA, and Noah Cyrus have received BNA nominations with nothing but EPs out. I can’t see a world where she doesn’t get the BNA nomination. BNA + SOTY seem realistic for her right now (unless Interscope are so taken by the hype they tell her to expand her EP into an album instead).
She has so many songs written I bet she could still get the album out before the grammy cycle ends.January 12, 2021 at 8:25 am #1203979422

Reminder that artists can not get double Pop Duo noms.January 12, 2021 at 1:05 pm #1203980127
Too hard to say right now because is still early, but i see some potential noms:
1. Positions – Ariana Grande
2. Evermore – Taylor Swift
I don’t see Miley or Shawn happening here. Miley’s album is good, but the Grammy’s have not embraced her after Bangerz era. Shawn’s album was bad so i’ll leave it at that…
1. Positions – Ariana Grande
2. Therefore I Am – Billie Eilish
Justin and Ed Sheeran could happen here. Anyone is a top 10 song and will probably rise bc of radio. Although Ed’s song came and went, the Grammy’s do like him (2020 BPVA nom), so i wouldn’t be surprised if he is a contender.
1. Levitating (Remix) – Dua Lipa feat. DaBaby
2. Holy – Justin Bieber feat Chance The Rapper
I only see this two lmao. BTS’s Life Goes On went number 1 but is already out the chart so that doesn’t help. Unless they get another song with Dynamite’s success I won’t count them in. Not counting the Blinding Lights remix with Rosalia since they ignored the original song. I see some people predicting Bang! but that song was released in Feb. 2020.
The Pop Field will be determined if/when the big names drop something (aka Adele, Rihanna, Bruno, Lorde) otherwise, we have another weak lineup coming…January 12, 2021 at 1:11 pm #1203980138
Honey, Shawn Mendes is NOT happening.January 12, 2021 at 1:17 pm #1203980144

4. Plastic Hearts
5. Justin Bieber TBA album
This can change.January 12, 2021 at 1:19 pm #1203980148
Evermore (song) is even better than Exile. Hopefully it gets in pop duo.
I hope for evermore nominations and also Olivia Rodrigo nominations, she is really talented. Hope she delivers with her album.January 12, 2021 at 4:43 pm #1203980406
if Olivia’s EP is as good or better than DL then she will for sure be in contentionJanuary 12, 2021 at 6:07 pm #1203980485

Ariana is releasing a remix for 34+35 with two other artists on Friday, there’s not much competition in BPDGP rn so she could potentially get a nom there.
