can’t believe there is a song called “MLK Interlude”. Is lowkey better than changes. while i was listening the record i went into AOTY.org and the album is getting the same score as his pre-“changes” albums. so i think he can make it into BPVA

“POV” by Ariana Grande got over 100K (+0.100) audience on pop radio alone yesterday, despite not having an impact date yet. I think this will be big. Also definitely would be a strong pop solo contender.

If it ends up being bigger than “Positions” it might be submitted to BPSP but if it doesn’t its best shot is to be the SOTY submission

ariana’s team always splits her submissions (eg 7 rings / thank u next) even when it doesn’t make sense to (eg god is a woman / no tears left to cry) . i wouldn’t be shocked at all if it’s positions roty and pov soty, and i think pov could get into soty especially if the year remains weak. my issue is that even thank u, next was blocked from soty when many people would agree it was a defining song for that period

<p style=”text-align: left;”>should’ve put this in the general thread, sorry. still relevant to discussion here though</p>

Get real!  Katy Perry does NOT deserve a Grammy.

i won’t say locked (bc idk what a lock is anymore when it comes to these awards) but i’ll say he has a fair chance. if he could get 3/3 with a panned album then anything is possible

I’ve always hated Justin and this was the first album of his i’ve listened to. First half of the album was actually pretty good, kind of fell off on the second half. Decent pop album, but the title and MLK speeches make no sense to what the album is about. 6/10

Justice is fine, I guess. Forgettable but I think it’ll produce a few cute hits, especially Peaches.

Pop Duo/Pop Vocal seems like good bets but again, never call anything a true lock unless it’s actually undeniable.

Honey; in this shitty year, Justice will easily slide into Best Pop Vocal Album.

Get real! Katy Perry does NOT deserve a Grammy.

If Harry Styles can get a Grammy for Watermelon Sugar and Justin Bieber for 10 000 hours, Katy Perry should have won BIG time for Fireworks, Roar or Dark Horse. Only a fool would say the opposite.

The only issue with Katy is when she released those absolute bops, she was against the likes of Beyonce, Adele & Lady Gaga with their hits. I am a little shocked that Roar did not clinch Pop Solo Performance. They were the best vocals of her career.
