The R&B committee did Summer Walker dirty. She deserved a nomination for Over It.

Unpopular Opinion: Summer is one of the biggest snubs in Grammys history. I was expecting to see her nominated in Best New Artist, R&B Performance, R&B Song & R&B Album.

There’s no way SZA submits Hit Different over Good Days.

Agreed. Re-listened to Over It last night and it’s still top tier R&B. Summer definitely deserved noms across the board, including BNA.

Hit Different was a bigger R&B hit than Good Days though. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s submitted to R&B Performance.

    FYC - Lil Nas X
MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name) - ROTY, SOTY, Best Pop Solo Perf., Best Music Video
INDUSTRY BABY - Best Melodic Rap Perf., Best Rap Song

I only see Jazmine in progressive if her team wants to avoid Silk Sonic. Her album should compete in Best R&B Album, though being fair it isn’t that far removed from what Jhené Aiko or Summer Walker are doing.

    H.E.R. is 10000% going Progressive.

“Good Days” made way more of an impact than “Hit Different”. The former should be SZA’s submission to R&B Perf/Song.

Honey, SZA will probably be snubbed.  She really did NOT make any noise.  I’m expecting a bunch of nobodies/under-the-radar acts to be nominated in R&B.

Sza might split her submissions like she did with “The Weekend” and “ Supermodel”. Sza has no problem getting nominated, she’s just always faced with a nominee who’s more stronger than her with winning.

    I can see her doing:
    Best R&B Perf: Hit Different
SOTY, ROTY, Best R&B Song: Good Days
SOTY, ROTY, Best Pop Duo: Kiss Me More

Not to mention Good Days is her first solo Top 10. Also charted top 3 in the R&B/Hip Hop charts

    SZA noms:

    • Record of the Year (Kiss Me More)
    • Record of the Year (Good Days)
    • Song of the Year (Good Days)
    • Best Pop Duo/Group Performance (Kiss Me More)
    • Best R&B Performance (Good Days)
    • Best R&B Song (Good Days)

Out of all my predicted noms she’ll get I can see her winning Best R&B Song. It would be pointless to submit ‘Hit Different’ cause it wasn’t a big hit and it will be very outdated. ‘Good Days’ hit top 10 and is in the top 10 best selling songs this year.

Do you guys think that Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis make it to AOTY, SOTY or both? Thoughts?

“Skate” is cute. It sounds VERY Traditional. Even more than Leave the Door Open. They could easily split their submissions now and get in everywhere possible in R&B. But I don’t think Skate is anything special.

    Nope. BRP would’ve benefitted them.
