Keep the discussion going in Part 12.May 24, 2020 at 5:16 pm #1203499062
love to be the first post. Can we get some discussion on the r&b categories?
Thoughts on summer walker, Jojo(not siwa) and Lianne La Havas either having big sales or having big critically acclaimed songs and albums. So proud of them and hope to get the respect they deserve.
Also do we think 2021 will be the year that Females will actually get into rap categories and start a consistent trend of being in them every year not just for a feature?May 24, 2020 at 5:23 pm #1203499076This post was found to be inappropriate by the moderators and has been removed.May 24, 2020 at 5:31 pm #1203499085
I hope the R&B committee has some balls and snubs After Hours from Urban Contemporary.
The Weeknd already has 2 wins, one of which being VERY undeserved (SZA sweetie, I’m so sorry).
They should give a chance for Summer Walker & Jhené Aiko to battle it out (rooting for Summer).May 24, 2020 at 5:40 pm #1203499094
Honey, I hope the R&B committee snubs After Hours in every category. I am sick and tired of The Weeknd. YAWN!May 24, 2020 at 5:48 pm #1203499101
he is gonna get in like we all know it. they always have one big artist in the urban contemporary and they always win. Whether it is Beyonce, lizzo the weeknd they will always rewarded the most famous.May 24, 2020 at 6:36 pm #1203499225
the ‘cancel culture is NOT real’ claims some of yall were saying in the other thread is so lame. sure maybe this will all be forgotten by december or whatever but to have something messy as this exposed when you’re coming up (unlike kanye west who is often thrown as an example by y’all when he’s an established act that has a core fanbase) isn’t a good look either way, and piling all this up with the other problematic shit doja has done it makes her look worse. i do see a possibility of her serving iggy at the grammys at best going forward, but i don’t see her winning bna anymore.
EDIT: and i know yall are gonna be like “omg only twitter cares!!1!1” but the twitter girls ARE her main audience, she doesn’t have a big fanbase with the gp and is just known as the say so girl and nothing else so this expose may be an introduction to a lot of people.

Honey, Doja Cat was NOT going to win Best New Artist. However, she will still get the nomination.May 24, 2020 at 6:43 pm #1203499239
I think Bad Bunny is happening at AOTY.May 24, 2020 at 6:54 pm #1203499241
Ms Thing is still the topic.May 24, 2020 at 7:00 pm #1203499254
Chile, Doja was never winning BNA. This mess just solidified her loss.May 24, 2020 at 7:05 pm #1203499261
I think Bad Bunny is happening at AOTY.
he should it’s one of my favorite releases this year. And it’s about time a Latino gets nominated. Latin artists are far more misrepresented at the Grammys.
