I think there’s very little incentive to discuss this matter because most of us here are probably gay, liberal/progressive, people of color etc… We’re all in agreement on this issue. It’s not even debatable among us. Black lives matter. Trump is a moron. But at the end of the day, the most we can do is vote these people out of power. I was very disappointed when Bernie Sanders lost the primaries. I felt we needed that kind of honest and effective leadership. We need an aggressive agenda that pushes for equality. Equality in America right now is a myth. But I sort of gave up personally. It’s just very painful to even hope for change. We have a president who appeals to alt-right racists and refuses to say something as inoffensive as “black lives matter”. He’s just completely nuts, along with the people who elected him. And that would be half of america. Anyway, that’s just my take on the issue. Back to the Grammy’s…

ACAB and justice for Floyd, but please post this on the music and politics page, especially if you’re bringing up about Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders

Just saw the City of Lover concert on Disney Plus and I had to stan Taylor for a bit. Man, that is some TALENT! Great self written lyrics, a fantastic voice that doesn’t need to be assisted by background vocals or Autotune, and Instrumental talent! There’s very few modern pop artists that posses all 3 of those abilities. Also, Daylight, Cornelia Street, and Death by a Thousand Cuts were meant to be instrumental. They should have been released that way on the album. And yes, I know this is off-topic, but there wasn’t a better place to put it.

I always like songs which has stunning lyrics. That’s why i like taylor because her way of story telling in a song is impeccable. The things that amaze me most is that all of these songs are solely written by her. WOW!!!

He just put out an EP of live performances from the past year (plus his radio 1 cover of “Shallow”).

The “Someone You Loved” live performance was taken from this years BRITs and given how it peak late into the Grammy season I wouldn’t be shocked it the live version got nominated a la “Havana”.

I used to like SYL but I got sick of it just because of how long radios kept playing it. Like holy shit, let go. It’s not even that good of a song.

Havana was nominated for a live performance because it was submitted and the cut-off was before it took off. Someone You Loved was nominated and peaked last year, if they’re going to give him any recognition it’ll be the song that is climbing the charts now.

You all can hate Trump or whatever but we ALL know he’s winning again this year and will be the president till 2024, if not 2028. 90% of Twitter hates Trump but most of the “average” citizens will vote for him. That’s the hard truth.

The only song, that I know of/remember, getting nominated in the GF and then a live version the following year was “Halo” and this was before the merger. Pop solo is competitive enough as it is unless they want to increase slots this year.

Honey, this forum is way too white to discuss race issues. #BlackLivesMatter

To me, all lives matter regardless of race.

    God bless you always!!!
