Frank is not submitting even if he releases, he’s been very vocal about his dislike of the voting process.

Last year was not weak. We had Lizzo, Billie amd Lil Nas X all competing for the biggest awards. The weakest year was when Kacey won AOTY.

You know it’s really a shitty year when people argue who is most likely to win AOTY, Post Malone or The Weeknd.

sis didn’t you support Ed Sheeran lol

Recent Billie quote that’s relevant to what we discuss here:

She had me until she questioned why she’s pop and said that she would be in rap if she were black…

    Rebellious nonsense.

I’m glad she gets BLM, though.

Next year we could potentially have Adele vs Kendrick vs Beyonce vs Lorde vs LDR. (possibly Ariana too)

    I’m not including Rihanna cause she’s release-phobic.

Yes The War on Drugs are Grammy Winners! They are incredible. I am glad to live in world where they won a Grammy, although there are still so many world class talents who have yet to get their Grammy.

I didn’t say that fun. has an album coming. I said that all of the artists on that list have anounced an album OR haven’t released an album in over three years. fun. falls into the latter category. Maybe I shouldn’t have included fun. since Jack Antonoff seems pretty busy producing everyone’s albums.

Also, The War on Drugs or Sky Ferrera are stars in their niche, but it is true that they aren’t really famous to the general public. But if you don’t know Migos or Playboi Carti, then you actively avoid listening to mainstream hiphop, which is at the forefront of mainstream music in general. These artists play on the radio, fill huge venues and do hundreds of millions of streams. They aren’t obscure.

Why are we talking about 2022 when 1. This is the 2021 Grammys page and 2. Focus on what we have now. I mean any of those artists are cool and all, but I think this year is pretty cool.

    1. Fiona Apple released IMO her best compositional album to date.

    2. The Weeknd took us back to the synthpop era of the 80s

    3. Many of us feel in love with Dua Lipa and look foward to her future releases.

    4. Say what you want, but the new hip-hop kids are on the block with Roddy Ricch, DaBaby, Doja Cat and Megan Thee Stallion.

    5. Gaga came back to her dance-pop origins.

    6. FKA twigs, Tame Impala, Run the Jewels, Grimes and Jay Electronica released their highly anticipated albums.

    7. Post Malone released great single after single on Hollywood’s Bleeding.

    8. Charli XCX released 2 genre-defining albums.

    9. Drake was blocked from having a multi-week song with Tootsie Slide.

    10. The Highwomen, Harry Styles, and Brittany Howard released some good projects.

So honestly, while we are in quarantine please reflect on the top, because while ____ has not released an album/song, you are going to miss all these cool things happening at this very moment.

I will Changes get nominated for Pop Vocal? I mean Ed Sheeran did it with a crappy album, especially since both literally sound the same.
